"Joe," Barry started helping setting out plates, "I mean I know a small talk was necessary, but a whole dinner discussion?"

"I'm just trying to make the right precautions We aren't an average white picket fence family after all," Joe replied, walking back into the kitchen.

"I agree with Joe, Barry," Caitlin said setting down the silverware. "There some things we haven't and need to talk about..."

"Yeah. I know," Barry sighed. "Metas, team flash, Godspeed..."

"But before we get into that stuff," Joe said walking out with a pot of grandma Ester's famous spaghetti, "Let's discuss the simpler things at hand."

The three sat down at the table and began to eat dinner.

"I'm guessing I don't have to guess that this wasn't exactly planned?" Joe's asked.

"I mean..." Caitlin put her hand over Barry's and smiled, "it wasn't planned, but it's not a mistake."

"Of course it's not," Joe started, "but have you two thought of what to do? Well, minus the metahuman stuff. A bigger place to live, money, baby supplies, sitters when your busy saving the world... marriage?"

Barry blushed, he has thought of a life together with Caitlin, married. But it was too early and not the time. Caitlin, however, looked down hitting her lip. All this time she had been worrying about metas and whether she was going to be a good mom, now, in addition, she was worried about the basic jobs and necessities of parenthood, she knew both her and Barry were not ready for. Plus they aren't even married, but Caitlin set that aside for now, not like she hasn't already thought about it before.

"We can figure it out," Barry said hopeful, "together, the team is basically family." Barry squeezed Caitlin's hand to give her some of his optimism.

Caitlin said, at least more realistic than pessimistic, "I could always get another job before I take maternity leave. Star Labs may not be much of a high paying job or a paying job at all, but Mercury Labs always needs other lab's intel on research."

"And I can work overtime at CCPD," Barry added.

"Well that at least handles the money," Joe replied, "but how about raising the child. Citizens would notice if the Flash went missing or that there is a Central City resident that looks eerily familiar. Are you two ready?"

"Of course Joe, we're going to be the best parents we can be," Barry smiled brighter.

"It's not that easy son," Joe smiled at Barry's enthusiasm.

"I know, but we'll be trying our best," Barry said.

"And Caitlin..." Joe asked.

"Uh, yes of course," Caitlin replied snapping out her stream of thoughts. She put her other hand on her stomach. "This baby will have a wonderful family, all of us."

Joe smiled, he was happy for his son and Caitlin.

"Welcome to the family, Caitlin," Joe said. "And soon, our little one."

"You know Cisco's been calling our kid baby Flash," Barry mentioned.

"I'm gonna freeze him," Caitlin joked, Joe and Barry laughing back.
