Work had been slow lately, a few petty thefts now and then rarely any serious crimes. Godspeed hadn't shown up at all since the last incident.

"Barry. Barry!" Julian said, waking Barry out of his daze. "You okay there mate?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah I'm fine," Barry got up taking a sip out of his new red mug.

"Okay," Julian said disbelievingly then going back to work. Barry returned to his stream of thoughts.

Things just seemed to be getting more complicated and troubling. Although he was thrilled to be becoming a father, especially with Caitlin, it was unexpected and could've had worse timing. Godspeed was still out there, and the last time some villain was involved while he tried to deal with any family affairs, someone died or was thought to be. But then with the new arrival of a new family member, it had forced Caitlin to reconnect with her family, which Barry felt happy for her but also it had caused more conflicts.

Barry began imagining what a perfect world would be like with Caitlin if their lives were not such a mess. The baby would have been born and they would move into a bigger place, buy a house, instead of a rented apartment. They would raise her with the help of team Flash, while Barry kept the team safe with the help of Cisco and Caitlin. While Joe and Julian brought intel from CCPD, and Iris continued as a reporter and he and Eric would get along better quicker. Maybe their child would be a speedster like Barry, or have ice powers like Caitlin. Barry loved the thought of being a father-daughter/son crime-fighting unit, though it might be difficult to get Caitlin on board. No evil metas or backstabbing geniuses would get in the way of their happiness, maybe just a few criminals to keep team Flash busy. Barry and Caitlin would have more children, he wanted six she only wanted two or three. Then maybe sometime in between then, Barry and Caitlin could finally announce their love for each other in front of an altar and their friends and family. Barry had thought about proposing to Caitlin ever since they officially became a couple. Although due to the current circumstances it wasn't the best idea.

As Barry went deep into his train of thought, August had arrived bringing Barry out of it.

"Hey, guys,"  he said walking in, maneuvering swiftly around the three desk to his placing his nice, new, leather case on the ground. The three had seemed to get used to the tight lab they shared.

"Hey August," Julian said looking up.

"Hey," Barry said subtly suspicious, shooting a look at Julian to indicate he had an idea. Julian shook his head side to side in response basically translating to, "Don't screw this up, he actually does work around the lab and gets here on time so Capt. doesn't get on our back." Barry ignored his warning.

Trying to make it seem natural, Barry walked over to August's desk pretending to trip dropping and spilling his mug of coffee on the floor, onto August's briefcase. Barry silently swore to himself, "damn, I thought he was going to speed catch it."

"Oh! You okay there Barry?" August said helping him up, Barry quickly pulled away.

"I-I'm fine," Barry stuttered, "just been out so much, I think I'm the least use to this new lab set up," he excused. "Sorry about your bag."

"Nah, it's fine," he replied picking it up to shake off the spilled beverage, "I still have warranty on it." He said before walking out.

"Told you so," Julian said still looking down at his papers.

Barry ignored this comment and looked down at the mess he made. "That mug was brand new..." he wined.
