There were still faint lines on her cheeks from where she had put the paint. It killed me to see her like this, but I knew I couldn't ask her here. I would have to ask her once we got home. I kept looking it her as we walked, she looked terrified. I knew it was something that that git had done, I just didn't know what it was. "You know you can trust me right Aly?" She looked up me and nodded. Tears welling up in her eyes, "Hey. Please don't, don't cry." She looked away and let one slip out. As it fell to the ground I knew that what ever he did, it was bad. "I promise, whatever he did... I will never do that. Seeing you like this. It kills me." I kissed her forehead wiped away her tears. I tried to think of what would make her smile.
"I'm gonna pick up the pieces,
and build a Lego house
If things go wrong we can knock it down" I knew that would work. Lego house is one of her favourite songs and she loves it when I sing to her. A smile spread itself across her face and she started laughing. And this time it wasn't strained. We walked up to her house and her mum said her hair looked perfect for her. Aly got some clothes and shoved them into a bag. It was really funny watching Aly when her mum was there, she was trying so hard to hide her neck. As we were leaving down the drive way I couldn't hold it in anymore and burst out laughing. "Next time I should make it somewhere super obvious for your mum. I wanna see how you'll explain it." I managed to get out between laughing. "Yeah well maybe I just won't kiss you anymore." Straight away I stopped laughing. "You wouldn't." She giggled at my sudden change in attitude, "That's the point babe. I wouldn't kiss you."
"You couldn't survive that." I smirked as our fingers entwined and we walked along the side of the road. "Sure I could." She tried to argue, but everyone knew she couldn't. We walked back to my house, avoiding the park this time. She threw her bag into my room and jumped onto the couch. I sat down next to where she was laying and put her legs so that they were resting over mine. "Uh, babe?" She looked up at me and nodded. "Erm, a-about that guy. Connor?" I didn't really know how I was going to ask what he did. Her facial expression changed and she nodded again telling me to continue. "What did he do? I mean, you looked really upset. And... scared." She sat up and lent against my arm. "I guess I'm gonna have to tell you some time aye?" I stroked her hair away from her face and she continued. "Just promise you won't tell anyone yeah? And I mean anyone." I put out my pinky and she wrapped hers around mine. Her voice became a whisper and despite the fact she was right next to me I struggled to hear her. "He... He hurt me. He beat me"
"He did what?!" I couldn't believe it, I had been right in front of him just a while ago. I could have punched, kicked him, anything. "Niall please, I haven't told anyone about this before. Not even Evelyn. Just please." She looked down at her arm. "No. He's not why is he?" She slowly nodded, I had to stop myself from getting up and finding that prick. "Okay, I promise, I won't tell. And I promise I will never lay a finger on you." I wrapped my arms around her and I heard her giggle. "Babe, you're more than laying your finger on me right now." She always managed to do that. Something seemed like a sad situation or a serious one and she finds the funny thing in it. "You know what I meant smart arse." I kissed the top of her head and the boys burst through the door. "ALY!" Louis ran over to us and sat down next to her. "Simon called, he said to tell you that he couldn't get through to your cell phone but Four Live wants to do an interview with you as soon as possible." I grin spread itself across her face. "Four Live?" Lou nodded, "Yeah. I think it's cuz they met you a while ago or something but they wanna be able to do your first interview as you." She looked so happy, it was so cute. "Shit, why does my phone have to be so freaking broken." She said looking at the black phone that was sitting on the coffee table. "Maybe cuz you've had it since you were thirteen." Harry laughed at her and she nodded in agreement. I passed her my phone so that she could call Simon and as he was talking her smile got bigger. "Yeah, tomorrow sounds good." She grinned and said good-bye. "I'm going on Four Li-ive, I'm going on Four Li-ive." She chanted.
