Tessa P.O.V
News of Dawns death spread quickly. Sam kept the bar open which was needed. Everyone picked the bar to drink away the shock while a decent amount ate their feelings. Sam gave us the day off since we had found her body. We spent the entire day being questioned & were eventually let out. When we got home, it was in the late afternoon. We both needed a long shower to try to calm ourselves. Jason came by just as we finished getting dressed & let himself in.

"Hey Jason. I guess you know." I said as I flashed to hug him in the living room

"yeah, thanks Tes. It's a small town after all." Jason replied lowly

"There's still beers in the fridge. All yours." I told him which made him slightly happy

"Thanks, I think I'll help myself. But, I'll save you one." Jason shouted as he walked to the fridge

"Alright, thanks." I shouted back as I went to watch some TV. Nothing good was one so I turned on my computer with the TV as background noise. The door knocked loudly which made me puzzled.

"I got it." Sookie said as she ran down to get it. I returned to my computer for a brief moment before I heard arguing.

"He's not a murder, Bud, & everyone in this life draining town knows it." Sookie shouted

"I'm sorry Sook but Jason is our number one suspect & only lead. I have to try to help ease this town before they start panicking." Bud countered as I walked up to them

"You know that this is a bullshit lead. It's not going to get you anywhere. All its going to get you is a few chuckles from the real killer." I fired back

"Enough girls, I'm just following procedure. Tell me where Jason is." Bud yelled back utterly frustrated

"I'm right here Bud. You don't need to shout at them." Jason said from the kitchen doorway

"Hey Jason, I need you to come to the station with us for a few questions." Bud gingerly said to which Jason nodded

"Jason you don't have to go. They can ask you here." I protested as Bud read him his rights & cuffed him

"Tes, please I'll be okay. Maybe these killings will stop." Jason gloomily muttered as they took him away

"But, he's not a killer. They can't honestly believe." Sookie cried into my shoulder

"I know, I know. It's up to us to help him. Let's make some tea." I cooed as I led us back inside. It took 10 minutes to make the tea.

"So how are we going to help him?" Sookie asked as we sipped on our tea

"Maudette & Dawn were both into vampires. Wouldn't hurt to see if any of them got a little rough. Hopefully, your boyfriend can help?" I suggested which made her blush

"Pff, He's not my boyfriend just a friend." Sookie retorted which made me roll my eyes. "Whatever. Hey! He could probably get us into that vampire bar in Shreveport. They probably went there to pick up vampires."

"Hell, no. I'm not letting you walk into a vampire bar. Too many things can go wrong quickly. You're staying home. Bill can take me." I argued as my fists balled up

"So, its better than I'm left alone at home with a killer loose?! The safest place is with you two. Besides, you're older than anyone in there. You can easily protect me from some baby vamps, especially with all your training." Sookie pleaded

"Damn it. For once, you make a good point. But, you're sticking to me & Bill like glue missy. When we tell you something do it, no arguments." I commanded her
