STEFS POV:
I was just getting ready to leave the office until captain Roberts yells from her desk.
"I need all officers on the A46" she yells from her office.
I look a my watching seeing the time and sigh, I so desperately wanted to get home to my wife. To see her. To kiss her. To have dinner with her. To ask her how her day has been, and I'm stuck here for a while longer.
We head down to the road we was called on. I wanted to get this over and done with quickly.
I arrive a little after the other officers as I had to text Lena telling her I'll be a little late, no matter what she comes first. Forever and always.
I thrown my phone onto the passenger seat and reach for the handle on my door. I open the door and allow each foot to step out as I close the door behind me.
I become so confused about my surroundings. I stroll up to the hazard tape surround the accident that I didn't even know what was until I arrived. I ducked under and entered the crime scene where fumes filled the air, smoke and petrol.
I look to my left seeing the shocked faces of the publicity. What could have happened? Some people with tears flooding their eyes from what they had witnessed, it must have been traumatic. A little boy pointing and asking questions. People towering over each other to see the accident that wasn't in sight of my eyes yet until I reach the corner. I walk over to the citizens asking witness statements.
"What's happened?" I questioned trying to get witnesses.
"I'm not sure" a few said as they were no help, nobody actually known what had happened.
I continued to walk forward as I hear the constant sirens ringing, police and ambulance, someone must have been hurt. I see the continuous flashing of red and blue lights reflecting off all objects possible, shop windows, lamp posts, car windows.
Every single time I get called for a crime scene, my heart pounds at the unknown, my stomach turns at the expected sights, my throat closes as my breathing decreased at the yet to come. Being in this job doesn't get any easier, I still fear things I see, and this was another I didn't know what to expect.
I reach the corner and I can physically hear my heart pounding, my stomach growling with fear and my breathing catching up with me. This wasn't normal.
I step on small parts of smashed glass as I look up I see the accident, and it's clear.
My mouth drops as I see a car completely tipped upside down, and one pressed against the side of the car, it's a car crash. A hit and run.
"Foster!" Doug shouts running over to me.
"Adams-Foster, you don't wanna piss off my wife" I say hiding my nerves. "Anyone hurt?"
"Erm... yes, the car tipped over has someone inside, and the other car, the person has ran so we're looking on CCTV" he says pointing to the cars.
"Ok, I'll go check it out"
I begin to walk over to the cars until something wasn't right. The car was unrecognisable as it was in so many pieces, but it was red, and a Audi, and the car whom caused he accident was a silver ford.
Walking closer and closer my heart fluttered I caught sight of the registration plate.
"WHAT?!?" I shout running closer until Marcus's hands pushed me away as I couldn't get any closer.
"What's wrong Stef?" He was the only officer who called me by my first name.
My lips quivered as I was so unable to speak, "w-w-what's the licence p-plate?" I say breaking down slowly as I was still so unsure on my enquiries.
"A4G2 LEA" he replied with a look of confusion to why I was so distraught.
That was a number plate I had recognised rather easily.
Ending in LEA was standing for Lena Elizabeth Adams, she had it personalised. No, no way was this my wife so hurt in this accident.
I didn't know what to do, the car was upside down and shattered into pieces, I knew I had to let the paramedics do everything they are to help her, to save her.
Tears raced down my face, my breathing was no longer decreased, it had stopped, my heart was ripped apart like her car.
My legs failed me and I fell to the floor screaming. Marcus didn't know what to do but pick me up.
"Stef, what's wrong?" He says holding me into his arms showing concern and support.
"She's...she's...my wife" I finally manage to form a sentence.
"Oh Stef, she'll make it" he reassured.
I didn't even think about that! What if she didn't make it? What if she was majorly hurt and I couldn't do anything to save her?
"WE NEED ALL HANDS ON DECK" the paramedic yells as he needed help taking off the car door.
I knew I had to do everything in my power to save her, to see her and make sure she will be ok.
I sprinted over helping to pull the door as my eyes fixed sight on her curls covered in blood.
"W-will she be ok?" I scream with anxiousness.
"It's unable to tell at the moment, she's unresponsive, let's get her out and to the hospital" the paramedic informs as tears wouldn't stop falling.
We finally yanked off the door and she was pulled out from under her arms and placed on a stretcher.
"Lena, baby, don't leave me" I say as I fix sight of her sweet beautiful bloody face. They begin to lift the stretcher and place her in the back of he ambulance.
"Do you know her?" The paramedic asks as he stops me from getting in the back with her.
"Yes, she's my wife" I inform and he gives me access allowing me to ride with her.
I take her hand into mine, although she was unresponsive I had to talk to her.
"Lena, baby I love you so much, please, wake up. Let me see your beautiful eyes, please don't leave me, I need you. Baby I need you" I broke down into her lap. I couldn't loose her.
