(Justin's pov)
-12am-
Now that we've got our meet-ups done for tonight, we decide to hang out for a bit in an alley behind our condo. It's only 12am, so there's a lot of time to kill.
"We made about $2000 tonight," Khalil inhales the smoke, the weed taking him to another planet. We're all on drugs. Wether it's weed or meth.
"This is heaven," Ryan throws his head back, cherishing the high. I playfully nudge him, my Meth-filled brain all over the place.
"Yeah, welcome to the gang bro," Khalil blows out a cloud of smoke.
"Don't I have to do some kind of initiation?" Ryan questions numbly.
"You bailed us out and helped Bieber's girl. You don't need one," Za smirks while coughing up some smoke.
"Guess not," Ryan smirks back.

-2am-
The drugs have worn off quicker than I thought, because when I check my phone it's 2am.
"Aye guys. Wake up," I nudge them, finding it hard to walk.
"What?" Za grumpily rubs his eyes, slowly coming back to life.
"C'mon, it's 2am. We need to get back." Finally, I gain some of my balance back to walk straight. My head feels as if it's miles away from me.
"Ok ok, we're getting up," they all stand up and walk to the front of the condo building. We enter and head up to our condo.

Once we're inside, they all pass out on each other, sprawled out all over the floor.
"Dumbasses," I mutter while dragging myself inaudibly into my room. Christie's still sleeping, so I quickly take a shower to wash the smell of smoke and weed off myself. Despite just waking up, I can barely keep my eyes open, so I lie down next to Christie, and pass out in an instant.

-4am-
I'm awoken by soft muffled sounds and a lot of movement beside me. Then a series of screams and wails makes me jerk up to see Christie in a dream. A bad one.
"Christie, Christie baby wake up," I shake her gently, yet hard enough to wake up. She gasps, her breathing uneven and her eyes wide open in terror.
"Christie, are you alright, babe?" I sit her up carefully. As a response, she shatters in my chest.
"Baby, what happened? Are you ok, babygirl?" I cautiously rub her back.
"Justin..." she cries softly, her voice cracking as her arms wrap around me.
"What is it babe?" I gaze into her eyes, even though it's dark in the room.
"...My dad...he wouldn't stop..." she trembles and sobs harder in my chest, and my heart fills with rage yet sorrow for her.
"Shhh, it's ok baby. Don't cry anymore. It's not real, you're never gonna see him again, ever," I hold her tighter, despite our closeness already. It takes a while, but she stops crying and falls back on her pillow. Her chest rises and falls dramatically, but her tears have dried.
"Hey, I love you babe," I pull her close so that her head nuzzles in my neck.
"I love you too." Her voice shakes and falters so easily.
"Get some rest baby," I kiss her temple before her breathing calms. Her heartbeats soften while mine fill with the rage towards her father.

-11am-
Something moves in my arms again, so I wake up to see if Christie's ok.
"I didn't mean to wake you." A soft voice whispers into the crook of my neck.
"I don't mind babe. I was awake anyway," I shift so that she's no longer tucked under my arm, and I'm now lying on my back, staring at the ceiling.
"Yeah, but you were in a really deep sleep though," she delicately points out. Her body is still positioned towards me, and I can sense her innocent stare.
"It's ok, really." Exhaling deeply, I sit up in bed, even though I could lie here all day. Honestly, I'm still exhausted from last night. I'm surprised, because meth usually has an unflagging effect on me. Not to mention, Christie freaked me out last night with her nightmare. I didn't think what happened messed her up that bad, but knowing Christie, I guess it makes complete sense.

My mind buzzes on, and I barely notice that Christie's in the bathroom now. Yawning, I get up and fit on a tee shirt; then Christie walks out, still in her pajamas. I toss her a warm smile, then head into the bathroom to wash up. I'm going to be up late tonight too, doing more business. At least it's for the benefit of Christie.

"Hey...so are you ok? About last night and all," I draw her in close, basking in her innocence.
"Y-yeah." Her voice still shakes and rattles out of her fragile throat.
"Christie—"
"Justin, it's fine. I swear I'm ok," she tears her body away from my hold.
"Ok," I nod, clenching my jaw a little from her cutting me off and breaking my hold on her.
"I-I'm sorry," Christie whispers shamefully with her arms wrapped around herself.
"It's alright. Let's go eat," I lead her out of the room to see Khalil, Za, and Ryan exactly the way they were last night, passed out on top of each other.
"You've got to be kidding me," I sigh in annoyance, my chest collapsing.
"Are they ok?" Christie looks up at me in concern.
"Yeah, just leave them. They'll wake up eventually," I pull her to the kitchen, away from the mess on the floor, and help her sit down.
"Is cereal good?" I start to gather a couple bowls and spoons, along with grabbing a jug of milk.
"Yeah," she softly nods while pulling out a chair from under the table. I'm so happy that she's eating something.
"Christie, can I tell you something?" My eyes flick from my hands to her eyes. I hope I can change her mind just a little bit with what I'm about to say.
