"So... why are we doing this again?" Shiho asked with a raised eyebrow

"Because I need to do some research" I replied fixing my hair

"Why are you so interested in it anyway? The incident was years ago" she said putting on her shoes.

"It's the only lead I have... I want to know the truth" she let out a sigh

"I understand, but if we get caught I'm gonna put all the blame on you" I hummed

"That's fine, let's just get this over with" we were standing in front of a large building that was a famous newspaper publisher.

"Are you sure we're get in??" Shiho asked slightly doubting my brilliant plan.

"Don't worry, I got this" I said taking the first step into the building.

"Damn already caught" Shiho thought as she jerked

"I would have to see your press ID for you to further" the security guard said.

"Busted!!" Shiho was acting suspicious, the guard will noticed

"Pull yourself together baka!" I thought as I shoot her a glare and pulled out my ID card.

"Here you go" I showed him my card and he inspected it carefully

"Very well, you may continue" he said leaving us through.

"Thank you sir" I bowed and grabbed Shiho's wrist to drag her along before her nervousness would ruin our plan.

"We made it, now relax!" I whispered as we headed into the elevator.

"Now then... which floor is the archive?" I mumbled looking at the trillions of floors this building had.

"It's on floor 69" a male voice said from behind us.

"Thank you" I smiled and pressed the button for floor 69.

"Are you looking for something specific?" the male asked curious.

"Well sort of" I replied trying to keep the conversation short.

"What are you looking for?" he seemed pretty curious.

"Sorry but our research is classified, we are not able to share any information's" I said as I took out my CCG batch and showed it to him"

"Oh I see... a CCG investigator, are you investigating a ghoul case?" I nodded

"Yes, we are here to look up some information's" he apologized for his curiosity

"Forgive my curiosity, I wish you all the luck with your investigations and hope you gain some helpful information's" he said as the elevator stopped on floor 56.

"Thank you, we try our best sir" I gave a light smile as the doors closed.

"W-Where the hell did you get that batch??" Shiho asked curious.

"From a friend, he lent it to me" I said making her eyes only bigger.

"Is it that friend from whom you got those fake ID's too?" she asked
