"And what are you here for?"

Because my best friend rejected me 24 hours ago.

"I'm here for the MV aydition," you said, smiling. "The painter."

The lady at the desk smiled back.

"Fill in the form and take a number."

You nodded, taking the slip of paper. Once you had filled it out, you handed it back nonchalantly and went to take a place in line. There were a lot of girls auditioning today and you felt out of place with your ok looks and tired eyes.

But that's ok y/n. No worries at all. You're just doing this to get your mind off Na--HIM, you corrected yourself quickly. How fun will it be? Just think of it as fun...

"Next five candidates!" a man called suddenly and you moved forward with the group admitted. A team escorted you into a hall with five chairs facing a wall. The crew and director stood behind a table holding coffee cups and watching the mess listlessly.

"Would each of you find a chair and stand on the edge with an easel?" one of the workers instructed,  handing each of of you the prescribed object. "You'll hear a clicking noise shortly and that'll signal the start. Please do your best to paint whatever you like. We'll repeat five times for each candidate to inspect your angles."

The five of you nodded and then did as he said. Taking a deep breath, you climbed onto the chair, your ponytail touching the base of your neck as you looked up at the wall and felt a smile stretch across your face.

Let's do this.

YOONGI POV

Same old same old.

The machine clicked, canvases released. The girls widened their eyes. The camera rolled and then it was over, faster than their soggy, idol-crazy heads could comprehend. 

Always the same.

Always such a joke. 

"The concept's good, huh?" Jin smiled, turning to face me with a grin. "I'm sure Kookie'll love it. It's his style."

I remained expressionless. "Same as always, you mean? Sweet girl. Boy sees her. Shy at first and then they fall in love. Bike rides by the sea. Faces on sushi..."

Jin had a nervous tone to his reply. "What are you insinuating?'

I sighed, turning my back towards the shoot. "I think a new job posting for the script team will be up tomorrow. Any recommendations?"

I could just hear the alarm in Jim's voice. "But Yoongi, we just recovered from the Slash leak, you heard the marketing team, we may not get another--"

CRASH

I turned, eyes instinctively going to the source of commotion but

But I couldn't breathe.

Suddenly, I couldn't breathe.

A girl--a girl auditioning--had fallen from her place, soaked head to toe in paint, and a bruise already forming from where the stool had smacked her hard hard. 

She had made my heart stop.

I have decided to re-upload this and my other stories with minor edits (the story WILL stay the same but I will be adding extra scenes to make the characters more interesting and the plot more convincing). I was a different person (a child) when I originally wrote this and I really want to share with you a version that is just as good but something that fits the way I think now :)
