"Any questions? Anything you don't like?"

You looked from Director Jin's smile to the clock on the office wall.

6:07 pm.

"I...."

Was there any way to stall longer?

"I...I think i'll--"

Before you could finish, there was a knock at the door.

"Jungkook!" Jin looked behind you, his eyes filled with recognition. "What brings you here?"

You heard the idol walk over and stand beside you.

"Are you showing her the script?" Jungkook asked in a voice that indicated he already knew the answer.

"Not sure what else I'd be showing her," Jin laughed and handed him a copy. "Why? Did you lose yours already?"

Jungkook ducked his head his hands played with the corner of the page.

"Maybe."

"Typical." Rolling his eyes, Jin looked back at you. "Well y/n shi, you should probably get going. I don't want you to be late for school tomorrow!" 

You nodded. "Of course."

"Do you live close by?" Jungkook asked.

"U-uh..."

An hour and a half bus ride.

"I can drive you," he offered.

Your face went the color of raw beef.

"You don't need t--"

"I'm leaving anyway and anyways..." He poked your arm awkwardly, giving a little bunny smile. "I won't bite."

"Ok."

Ten minutes later and you were coasting along the freeway in an idol's car, wondering what this strange change of fate was.

Not to say that your circumstances were a fangirl's dream come true.

Jungkook kept clearing his throat awkwardly every five minutes, sometimes touching the Next button on his  iPod, other times changing lanes.

"So...are you a high school student?" he asked suddenly, jolting you out of your coma.

"Yeah, I'm a high school student..."

He was quiet for a minute more then

"A trainee?"

You shook your head and then realized he couldn't see you.

"I'm not a trainee. I just auditioned, I didn't even know what it was for, actually--"

You broke off suddenly as the music changed, morphing from some upbeat American song to a mellow guitar melody that couldn't be anything but

Paper Hearts?  

All at once, your thoughts went to Namjoon, and then to that day in the Agust D showers....

"Do you know Paper Hearts?" Jungkook turned the volume up. 

"O-of course." You clenched your hands around the bottom of your shirt. "It's...it's one of my favourites."
