HOSEOK POV
"Remind me again whose idea it was to negotiate for the riviera land," Chen grumbled, fanning himself with a newspaper roll as the hot Macau sun beat down on us.
Tossing my hair back, I smiled. "Mine."
"And mine!"
We ignored the shout from Soonyoung, who currently had his face covered by a straw hat, stretched out on a lawn chair.
"Yixing thinks I killed his brother," I reminded everyone, causing Chen to raise his brows.
"But you did."
"Wrong. I faked his death with another body so his return would be more significant."
"My idea again!"
Aish,this punk...
"Yixing is furious that I've bought the banks region in the south," I continued. "If I offer back his miraculously alive brother along with the banks, he'll relinquish the riviera without knowing it's worth more than the two put together. Emotional swaying, you know?"
"And if we're walking right into a trap?"
I cupped Chen's shoulder, smiling. "Relaxxxxx. Minseok's installed bulletproof lining in my suit, along with back cameras. Plus, we've got an insider."
"Jun?"
My grin widened. "He'll be watching for any sudden moves."
Yet Chen still looked worried. "I don't know boss. You just got out of jail. I suggest you rest a few more days before taking this up."
A frown crossed my mouth. "A few more days of rest is a few more days of y/n being....violated by that CEO. He's got the Korean police wrapped around his finger. We've got to get him while he's out of the country."
"I'm surprised you didn't go to Hong Kong first then, since he was spotted there."
"I can't leave Yixing alone again or he'll kill everyone," I mumbled. Yet the decision had been so hard to make. The minute my arrest had been lifted, I had found Soonyoung and begged him to tell me where that bastard had took y/n. She was all I had thought about in that cell, her beautiful face, the way she laughed, the tears in those eyes as I was dragged away that confirmed what I had known all along but had been too stupid to appreciate.
"Y/n has a crush on you," Sehun dropped out of the blue that night, our backs to the rail car, beer cans in hand. "I heard her telling Hyori yesterday."
Excited shivers rattled my body. "What?"
"That origami frog you made at dinner," Sehun continued. "She keeps it in her jewelry box. And sometimes she asks if you're coming over. She watches you when you come over too."
"Yah, are you serious?" I said, trying to play it cool. I hadn't told anyone about my crush on Sehun's little sister. I mean, what would the guys say? But his words had made me so happy.
"She's a little kid, so don't stress it," Sehun continued. "But whatever, now you know."
I had known, yes. But I hadn't believed it fully. So I had went out with other girls, tried to measure her interest through jealousy. I had never wanted a reaction so badly in my entire life, but y/n just stayed the same, always smiling, always nonchalant. I lost faith in Sehun's words but my affection refused to die and once my body became more manly, I had gained the confidence to ask her out.
Of course it had all gone downhill from there.
"I'll follow Min Yoongi to the ends of the earth if I have to," I said, looking at the Macau skyline as the sun began to set. "I want y/n. She's the only one for me."
