Well, twelve minutes keeping to the challenge, that's not a bad start, Halldora thought to herself as she lead Loki to the front door of her flat. She wasn't sure how he was going to react to her 'Midgardian' home, but she hoped he'd stay long enough to understand why she preferred the Midgardians to the Asgardians. She unlocked the door, turning her head slightly to make sure Loki was still behind her.
He was looking straight at her, his hips tilted slightly to the side and his eyebrows raised as if she'd said something terrible. "Ye of little faith," he said, crossing his arms, "I still plan to make you my bride after this. Now open the door," he said, the sarcasm in his stance almost unbearable.
Halldora smirked as she opened the door. She didn't want him to see her expression because she didn't want him to know that his pose had made her smile. She walked in, hesitating just a little, still wondering how long it would take before Loki gave up on her and disappeared for Asgard. She put her keys in a bowl on the kitchen bench before hopping up to sit on it and look at Loki's reaction. His eyebrows raised again, but only for a moment, and he slowly walked into the room. She'd never noticed before, but his hips definitely swayed as he walked. She thought he was incredibly good-looking when his hips swayed, but she didn't want him to stop if he knew he did it.
Loki looked around the apartment, noticing the clean, slightly mismatched bookshelves and the soft looking sofa. He'd never seen a dwelling he liked better. But as usual, he didn't want anyone to know how comfortable he felt, so he didn't say anything. "It's not as lavish as I'm used to," he said, trying to sound posh but not snobby, "but it seems appropriate for the challenge."
"If it were smaller, my dear Silvertongue," Halldora replied, hopping off the counter and coming very close to him, noticing his cheeks take on a very pale blush tint, "Then we'd be further apart."
Loki turned away from her quickly before he showed any more signs of arousal. She had come so close to him he'd wanted to pull her to him and kiss her again. Kiss her entire body. But he couldn't think like that. He had to keep her on her toes. Besides, he wasn't allowed to propose until he'd completed the challenge, and he wasn't about to make it too obvious that he was already planning how he'd do it.
