"Lady Wordsmith! I have returned triumphant!" Loki said, announcing himself as he walked inside, his arms full of as many plastic bags he could carry. Halldora jumped up from the couch, looking proudly at him. "You did it!" She cried.

"Ye of so little faith," he said, walking through to the kitchen so he could put the bags down. He smiled at her, but then frowned sadly. He wanted to buy her something else, but he needed to convince her he needed her help to do it. Of course, he could do it himself, but he'd made a promise. And by now it was long overdue.

"What's ruffled your Asgardian feathers now Silvertongue?" She asked, watching his expression drop curiously. Sometimes she thought his moods changed too quickly for them to be genuine, but she'd learnt to pass them off sarcastically.

"It's just that," Loki began, starting to put the food away, "I have to get something else, but I need you to come with me." He said, his tone deeper as he questioned her.

"After you've just done a grocery run? What can a Prince of Asgard need me for?" She asked, though she seemed amused at his sudden self-doubt.

"You want me to leave this nice warm couch?" Halldora asked.

Loki gave her a look that said 'Yes please!'

"When there's now chocolate in the fridge?" She asked again.

Loki gave her another look, this time saying 'Come on, pleeeeeease!'

"Fine! You big Asgardian baby," she said, grabbing a long knitted jumper to wrap around herself. Loki smiled when she couldn't see him, because he couldn't wait fulfil his promise. She grumbled a little as they walked, arguing to herself about the cold. They seemed to amble a little without any clear direction, but inside Loki knew exactly where he was going.

"Silvertongue, it's too cold," she whined, stopping completely, "Vanir goddesses aren't built for the cold weather."

"Luckily, the Jotunir are," Loki said, throwing his scarf at her, "And you love winter weather, so don't lie to me Wordsmith," he dragged her forward until she started walking again, his scarf now wrapped around her neck and warming up her ears. She grinned under the scarf. She really did love winter, far more than Midgardian summer. But she liked it when Loki got annoyed with her. He was more fun.
