Chapter 9

[Misty POV]

We are returning from school, and heading to the hospital to see Serena. She is still in the hospital. Me, Dawn and May came to know about Iris and her today in the morning when Iris told us. Ash also told us what happened, right now me, Iris, Dawn and May are sitting in the limo who is dropping us at the hospital. Ash had gone somewhere to do some work.

After 5 minutes of drive we reached there, Iris lead us to her room. When we reached there we saw Serena talking to a little girl, who looked to be about 4 years old. She was sitting on her bed in front of Serena as both laughed at something. When Serena noticed us, she stopped talking to the girl and turned her attention.

“Hey everyone, meet Leaf, she's Ash's sister. And leaf these are my friends.” She introduced, “hello..” Leaf said cheerfully. “Nice to meet you leaf, I'm Dawn” “and I'm May” both greeted back. “Hi I'm Misty, nice to meet you” I added, after that we started to talk about Serena's health and all that happened. After some time Ash entered the room and as soon as he came in Leaf tackled him in a hug.

“ASH! you're back!” She squealed, “My sweet little Leaf! How're you doing?” He asked happily, “GREAT! I enjoyed my whole day with Serena, it was so much fun.” She replied, “great to hear.” He did while tapping her nose. Then turned his head to Serena, “thanks for taking care of Leaf.” He said to her, “oh, it's nothing, I was also happy to have her company.” She replied.

We talked about our school and some other stuff for a while, then May spoke up another topic. “Hey, look at Ash and Leaf, don't you think they look cute.” She whispered, we all turned our head towards them. Ash was sitting on a chair in a little distant. Leaf was sitting on his lap and both were talking to each other. They both looked so cute. “Yeah, you're right.” Dawn added whispering.

“Hey leaf…” Serena said, both Leaf and Ash turned their attention to us, “...I was wondering, how did you, uhh… how were you kidnapped?” She asked hesitantly. Leaf looked at Ash. Ash looked at her with a small smile, “don't worry, I'm not mad at you for doing it, but don't do it again, okay?” He said while rubbing her cheeks. She nodded weakly at him.

“What's happening, I don't understand. What did she do?” I asked, I was really confused what was going on. Ash looked at me, Leaf cuddled in his lap. “Well it was just, I was out of town for some work and I left leaf at home with her babysitter along with Pikachu. But Leaf sneaked out of the house with Pichu to eat ice cream, Pikachu caught her but Leaf insisted on eating ice cream, so Pikachu went with her. And at the ice cream parlor, they were attacked and Leaf was taken up from there. The rest I don't know what happened until Pikachu called me, when I reached the base there were a large number of cars near the building, which I presume was the back up. And many guards lying dead on floor as I moved in attacking the guards trying to stop me. I reached a room where leaf and you both were tied up to chairs in a very bad condition. Pikachu, Pichu and your Pokemons we tried in glass cases and were tortured. I rescued everyone from there and brought you here and informed your parents. And here you are…” he explained everything to us. I was staring at him jawdropped.

“Wow, ..I mean you really took down the whole base?” May asked in shock. Ash just chuckled. “By the way, where were you when we called you?” Iris asked. “Well… about that, I was in… pallet town.” He spoke slowly, my eyes widened at his response. He was in pallet town when leaf was kidnapped, but how? “WHAT?!” all of us except Leaf, asked in shock. “What were your doing in Kanto? How did you come so quickly from there, I mean you took about 30 minutes, but it usually takes 5 hours by air travel?” Serena asked, “answer to your first question is, I was in a meeting, that's all you need to know and second, i flew on Pidgeot.” He replied, all us just looking at him in dead silence.

“Okay now enough of the talk, it's time to go home. Serena, your mom will be coming to pick you and all of you, I'll drop you home.” He said, as he got up holding Leaf in his arms and walked to the other bed and picked up his pokeballs. “All of you wait for me outside, I'll just get Pikachu from his room.” He said as he walked out of the room.

We all said our goodbyes to Serena then walked out of the hospital. After a few moments Ash brought his car, we all hopped in. May, Iris and I sat in the back seats while Dawn sat in the passenger seat with Leaf in her lap. Ash drove us to our home.
