Chapter 33

[Leaf POV]

Headquarters. That's where we were supposed to be. But I don't see any headquarters here, just a bunch of tents planted on the ground. I think team rocket overdid it this time. I'm so angry I could just beat all of them. Arghhh…

So when we reached there Gary took us to a fairly big tent and told us to stay in. Charizard stood on watch until Ash would come, everyone was initially on their guard would be an understatement because of Charizard's changed form. Not to forget he looked deadly. We spent our time talking, random. Well, I found some papers and pens, so I was busy drawing…. 

Suddenly Gary came back. "Everyone, let's go. We're moving" he said urgently. I was confused at his behaviors but Serena and Amy looked more scared. Now I think it could be serious. "Where?" Serena asked. "Kalos. Ash has sent choppers for everyone. You'll be going with Alain… also take this. This is Pidgeot's pokeball." He said as he handed a pokeball to her. Then lead us outside. 

We saw everyone gathered in groups. I even saw the flying types ready to take off. Charizard stood tall among them, we locked eyes and he gave me an encouraging smile, I smiled back at him and moved ahead. Gary led us to Alain, who was busy talking to an officer. We waited for a while when I heard a loud rumble. They were the helicopters for our journey. 

"Hold on your ears. It's going to be loud." Alain shouted, and surely before I could closed them the noise was unbearable. Even when they were close, I could hardly survive the noise. I was saved when we got in and closed the sound proof doors. I took a breath of comfort. After all of them were boarded, with troops and equipment, we took off.

The journey was long. All the flying types were assisting our safety but were being switched every now and then but not Charizard he flew the whole distance from Kanto to Kalos. He sure was tough in this form. 

Finally we reached Kalos, I could see the land on the edge of the sea. And in no time we were there. We landed in an open field near a tall building. It was some kind of security office or something.

When we got out we spotted Ash and I ran up to him hugging him tightly. Serena followed back and hugged too and a kiss too. It sounded wonderful in fairy tales but in real life it was gross. Now I wish I hadn't prayed for them to be… y'know … in love.

"Amy you go to the hospital, Emma is now well. You both can leave now, I don't want to keep you in trouble, thank you very much for being with Serena and Leaf." Ash told, Amy nodded. "I'll call a car for you." He said and called for a member. We said our goodbyes and Amy went to her sister. 

"Now let's get in.." Ash beckoned, we both followed him in and reached a room. It looked like Ash's office without any of his belongings, what I did notice were four giant colourful rocks stored in tight glass confinement. And a few of his teleballs in another glass confinement. From the patterns of it I believe they held, Rayquaza, Zeraora, Xerneas and Arceus.

"Where are the others?" I asked, "Stolen.." he replied plainly. I was shocked. "What are these?" Serena asked, "These are Ash's legendaries. But many are missing!" I told, "You mean team rocket took them away?" She asked Ash surprisingly, he nodded. "HUH!!" she huffed out then turned to the big rocks. "And these…?" She pointed, there were blue, violet, yellow and pink glowing rocks. 

"These are the Jewels that I extracted from different places." He told, wait if he has four rocks here and one is in Serena that mean we have all of them? " But…-" I was cut by him, "I extracted Jewel of Life from Serena, leaving 1% behind so she doesn't die. Also you too have only one percent. In Fact even I don't have more than 5%. That day whatever destruction you both caused was the power of that 1% Jewel. Think how powerful would it be if you had 100%." He said, I was now astounded. Even Serena was speechless.

"Now listen. I still have work so I need to go. You both stay here. Don't go anywhere. I'll check every once in a while. Okay?" He told, we both nodded in agreement. "Good, see you later" and then he walked away. I looked at Serena and she looked at me. She gestured with her eyebrows if I had something in mind, I replied with a simple shrug. We both stood there like ghosts then suddenly big started laughing.

Literally, I'm dying here out of boredom. Why did Ash leave us here. I want to go out and explore this place. I looked over to Serena who was staring at the teleballs in the case. Might be trying to guess what Pokemon was in there. I huffed out some air in tiredness. Suddenly I remembered something. 

"EEVEE!" I yelled, Serena jumped at my sudden outburst. "What happened?" She asked confused at my behaviour. "I forgot Eevee. She would be so angry at me. And Pichu. Oh no, they are still in their pokeballs. C'mon let's get them." I wanted on. "Calm down Leaf! Do you even know where they are kept?" Serena asked. I thought for a moment, then shrugged. 

"I'll call Ash and ask him… wait for some time." She said and I sat back in my chair. She pulled out her phone and called Ash. "Hey, Ash I'm sorry to disturb you, but leaf was worried about Eevee and Pichu. She wants to bring them outside. But we don't know where their pokeballs are kept." She spoke, "oh, okay thanks. Bye." She then hung the call. 

"He said they are kept in the Pokemon storage for his pokemons. He's sending their balls through one of his members." She said, I took a sigh of relief. Soon someone came with their pokeballs. And I was so happy to see her. Ash sent Bonnie to us. She must be here to help her brother.

"Bonnie!" I squealed and ran to her giving a tight hug. She accepted the hug, and smiled at me. "It's been so long Leaf! How are you?" She asked, "I'm great!" I replied, she giggled. Then she noticed Serena. "Who's she?" "This is Serena. She's my brother's ... girlfriend … " I said emphasizing the word. This made her shift in her place uncomfortably.

Serena looked at Bonnie and smiled sheepishly. "Hey…" she breathed out, Bonnie smiled back, "hi, nice to meet you…" she replied, "so, tell me about yourself, do you work here too?" Serena asked, Bonnie gave a slight gestured from her hand, "Nah, I just help my brother with his experiments and mostly annoy him. But nothing more and also try to find him a girl to fix him, but I'm having no luck at that." I saw Serena sweatdrop at her, but she moved the topic forward. "I'm assuming, your brother is Clemont?" She asked, this got Bonnie curious. "You know him?" " Yeah I met him the last time I visited here. I had to go under a test." Serena told.

"What kind of test?.... Wait don't tell me you are….." she started, her eyes going wide. "Yeah, I'm the Jewel… of Life." Serena nodded slowly, Bonnie almost choked out, "hol-", she was saying before Serena cut her off, "don't say that word in front of her!" This got me curious. 

"Don't say what?" I asked innocently. They both looked at me, Bonnie had a look of panic while Serena wasn't too fazed. "Nothing sweetie, it's a bad thing, that we should not say." She told calmly, I nodded slowly, Bonnie took a sigh of relief then looked at Serena in guilt. "Be careful next time." She said, "sure…" Bonnie replied immediately.

We spent the next few hours, talking and playing with Eevee and Pichu. Oh wait did I tell you? Bonnie brought their pokeballs with so they could be released, at first Eevee was mad at me but eventually gave up and now we are back to good friends.

While we were talking, the door burst open, we all have scared squeal as a lady rushed in she scanned the too before her eyes settled on Bonnie. "Bonnie we need your help! quick!" She yelled, Bonnie instantly got up and ran after her. 

"What was that?" Serena asked after a few moments, "I. Don't know ..." I replied idly. We let a soft sigh then got back to whatever topic we were on.

"It's getting late, isn't it?" Serena asked when we had talked for what seemed like a long long long time. I let a yawn and nodded. "You need to get some sleep if you don't want to become a zombie." She said and laughed, I laughed as well as I sat beside her.

Just then the door opened slowly, we both looked up and saw Ash. My face cheered up but I was too exhausted to go hug him so I sat there without moving. Ash came up to us and I heard Serena and him talking but my mind was already moving to the dreamlands. The last thing I remember, Ash was picking me up before I was asleep.

Hey, I updated as I said. I know this chapter wasn't much of an important one. But yeah whatever...
