Chapter 38

[Calem's POV]

One month, just one month. It has exactly been one month since I came to Galar as an undercover Pokenation agent to gather information about the plans of Team Rocket. My cousin Marnie is still unknown to my intentions as an agent. She has been helping me build Giovanni's plan as he asked and had been reporting it to him directly. At first I was doubtful about her potential as a team leader, but she proved me wrong by her sense of leadership. For the last few days it has been hard to report Team Rocket's information to Pokenation, as she has grown suspicious of my intention. 

She always acts bubbly in front of me, I have never seen her act tough as a true leader in front of me, but little does she know I had a microchip attached to her spinal cord which lets me read her thoughts and see what she sees. This chip was built by Pokenation from the mechanical brain cells of a Metagross using the psychic powers of Alakazam. The chip is controlled by the Metagross itself and it transmits the copied packets to the receiver chip in my spinal cord. It can be controlled even if the Metagross is in its pokeball. The range of this chip is 250 km radius each from Metagross. That means I can see in Marnie's brain from a maximum distance of 500 kms.

For the last week I have gathered information and have been trying to find a way to send it to Pokenation. Lately Marnie has been sticking by me and not giving me a chance to be alone to do my work. It was morning and we had just eaten breakfast. I was in the living room, working on the project Giovanni gave. It was a stealth missile and he wanted me to find a suitable spot for positioning it's launch location. Of course I was going to tell this to Ash, but the question was how. I heard footsteps from upstairs which soon reached the living room.

"Brother, which one do you think will be better for today?" She asked with a happy tone with an equally happy expression. I looked back from my work and saw her holding two dresses in her hand. Though she had asked a question to me, I put my own question to her. "Where are you going?" I asked bluntly. "None of your concern." She replied giving no attention to my tone. "I can't suggest anything if I don't know the reason for the outing." I replied, her face went surprised and she cheered up even more. Sure her face looked happy but her intentions were different, I could see, she was going for a concert that was held today at the city stadium. I wasn't interested in converts plus if she was gone I would get enough time to do my Pokenation report. 

"I'm going on a date." She replied, seriously, a date? How can you lie like that, I can literally read your mind if you know. "With whom?" I eyed her suspiciously. "Huh? Uhh a boy from my class." She replied a little timidly. I now turned back on the couch backrest. "I want to meet him first." I said sternly, I wanted to see what she'd come up with. "What?? Why?" She asked acting to be shocked and scared. "I'm your brother, I have every right to be protective over you." I spoke as she gulped at her fake saliva. 'i don't need your protection, stupid' grand to know she thinks of me like that. "You don't need to be so protective of me brother, I'll be fine. He's a good person." She replied, waving her hand side to side as she acted sheepish. I could see all her thoughts so I didn't make it a big deal.

"Okay, how long will you be gone?" 

"I'll be back by 10 pm."

"Fine, don't go anywhere and text me when there's any trouble."

"I will, plus you do know I have a group of members that work under me?"

"Yeah, but I'm still worried."

"Okay, now which one?"

"Short one."

"Thanks"

And with that she hopped off to her room.

But guess what, that is not in her plan. It was still 11 am, and the concert was starting at 5 pm. She would be leaving home at 1 pm to let me think I have plenty of time. She is actually planning to spy on me. For the time while she is not gone to the concert she will keep an eye on me to see what I'm doing. Then two hours after the concert starts, she will give me an sos text. The loud music from the concert should make me think it's explosions, and I'll have to go to the fake location she gives me. When I reach there the Team Yell grunts will capture me and take me to her base, where she will have an inspection of my things. 

Well, I gotta say, it's a pretty awesome plan, only if the opponent doesn't know about it. But I do, so here is what I'll do. When she leaves the house. I'll quickly text Ash to send a few men to galar to kidnap Marnie from the concert at 7 pm after she makes the phone call to me. From 5-7 pm I'll do my report for Pokenation and I'll leave the house as she'll tell, but instead of going to her told location I'll go to the location where I ask the Pokenation members to take Marnie. Of course it will be a surprise to her but today, she will have to lose to Pokenation.

I quickly take my phone and text Ash to send the men, and that I'll tell the details later today. After that I get back to working for Giovanni. Exactly at 1 Marnie leaves the house and walks to the block down the road. After I close the door, she turns the opposite direction and walks to another building. The building looks like a normal industrial headquarters. Walking inside is a hidden base. Yes, this is the Team Yell secret base. She still hasn't told me about it but I know already. There is a secret camera behind the television that captures the living room. She watches me do the Team Rocket work for the next 3 hours before leaving for the concert. I go to the bathroom knowing there is no camera and send my report to Pokenation. I contact Ash and tell him the plan for today. I explain the details to the men arranged for the kidnap. Then go back to the living room. At 7 I get the call from Marnie, sounding really scared, she tells me to reach the city square to save her. I rush out of the house, locking it and running to the city square. But head straight from there without stopping, the Team Yell grunts start chasing me, I release the Dragonite from Ash to take them on which was nothing difficult for her. I reached a building which was supposed to be the new branch for Pokenation. It is still not initiated, but it belongs to Pokenation so I do my work there. It's not completely empty, there are Pokenation members which do the work in Galar under radar. I open the interrogation room to reveal a young girl, with a pissed off expression, handcuffed to the chair. When her eyes lock on me it goes as wide as tennis balls, before she lets out a shocked whisper of my name.

"Welcome sis, or should I say cousin." Her expression goes confused a little but not leaving the shock. I take a seat in front of her across the table. "Ah yes yes. There's a lot to tell you. So are you ready to hear it?" I smirk as she gulps down a fear, her genuine fear.

I open the door to my home with my shoulders slumped. My clothes torn and random bruises on my body. I contacted my dad. Which was picked by his secretary, I sent the report from today including the project he gave me. I also include that my sister, Marnie has been kidnapped from her date with her friend, whose name I didn't know. I gave them the location she asked me to come. After ending the call, I wait for the doorbell. 

I open the door to greet a delivery guy. He hands me a parcel and takes my signature. After closing the door, I take it to the living room and open it facing opposite to the camera view. As soon as I open the parcel a huge explosion occurs from it and blows up the whole house. Burning everything in the building.
