Chapter 11

[Leaf POV]

It's the weekend after the incident, Ash is making breakfast for us. Me and Pikachu are playing with other Pokemons in our large backyard. It is so big that it can hold more than two hundred Pokemons. Too bad Ash has more than 600 Pokemons. But he keeps them in pokeballs and regularly switches them so that everyone can enjoy.

"Sweetie, come back, breakfast is ready!" Ash called me. "Coming..." I reply back and ran to our dining table, Pikachu followed behind. Ash gave me two pancakes to eat, I happily eat them all. At that Ash starts his training and I just see him train. During lunch he told me that we would be going somewhere tonight so I should take my afternoon nap early.

---3 hours later---

"Wake up sweetie. Remember we need to go." I hear Ash's voice, I slowly turn around and sleep more. "If you don't get up I'll leave you here." He said, hearing it I instantly got up and rubbed my eyes. When I came back from the bathroom I saw Ash holding a cute dress. "Dress up and come down, I'll do your hair." He said then wake out.

After dressing up I went down to see Ash all ready. He combed my hair and put two ponytails. After that we hopped on Pidgeot who took us to...

"Hey Ash where are we going?" I asked while we were still flying over Lumiose City. "Remember Iris..." I nodded, "today's her birthday." He told, a smile formed in my face. "What are you gifting her?" I asked in curiosity. "A Pokemon, she never saw or heard of." "Which one?" I asked again, "wait till she opens it." I pout at his reply. He makes so many secrets, some he tells but Most of them I don't even know. I don't even know how much I knows about him.

We reached Iris's house, it was big and spacious but not more than ours. I ran ahead and rang the bell, Ash slowly walked up to the door. Soon after the door was opened and a woman was standing there, probably Iris's mother. "Hey little girl, who are you?" She asked, "I'm leaf, Ash's sister." I said pointing to Ash, who was talking to someone in his phone near the footpath. "And who is he?" She asked in a suspicious tone, I don't think she remembers Ash, I mean he saved her daughter from the kidnappers. "The one who saved Iris that day." I said, trying to me get remember. Her face lit up, "oh, now I remember, sorry I'm just forgetful, get in everyone's Already here." She says then let me in, Ash also followed behind but again started talking to Iris's mother, she thanked him for saving Iris. When I reached the living room I saw all the other friends of Iris sitting there and talking among them. They all noticed me and Iris came came running to me. "Happy birthday Iris." I wished, "oh thank you cutie." She says and gave me a hug. Then Ash came there, "happy birthday Iris." He also wished her, she gave him a hug too. Then we all sat the and started talking with each other. May and Serena talked to me while Ash, Misty, Iris and Dawn talked together. We also are some snacks.

Pikachu was also enjoying his time with other Pokemons. Serena had the most beautiful Delphox I ever saw, she told that she brushed all her Pokemons daily. I told Ash had a Delphox too, who was so strong that she could easily defeat Iris's Dragonite. In which but laughed. I wanted to play with their Pokemons so went to get backyard asking with the Pokemons.

[Ash POV]

I saw leaf walking to the backyard asking with some Pokemons. She just loves to play with Pokemons. "Hey Ash tell us about yourself, I mean your family and all." Misty asked, all other girls were looking at me. It felt very creepy, "why do you.... Ask?" I asked awkwardly. "Just curious. You know that day you said you were at work and leaf was with a babysitter, so I thought about your parents."Misty added.

"Okaaayy......." I trailer off. "So, my family, well I don't have parents... anymore." I said, words coming out of my mouth slowly. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry, I didn't know...." Misty said softly. "Well, now you know so, they died when leaf was just a few months old, since then I have been taking care of me and leaf along with my Pokemons. A very hard job though. But I guess it all worked out, leaf is living a happy life till now. But I fear that the coming future might be difficult for me as well as leaf, I don't know if I can protect her from the threats of the world. My parents, they were actually killed by an organization name Team Rocket. They are after me because I have something that no one else has, and I can't give it to anyone. Not that I am selfish but, it's very dangerous if in wrong hands. If god had given it to me then there must be a reason. For now all I know is, I have to protect leaf from everything. The price of it is more that just my parents but I don't know what I'm going to lose next. But it's very dear to me. That's why I started an organization, Pokenation, along with my friends. It's a law enforcement organization that works for the protection of the people and Pokemons." I told them my story and glanced up at them, as my head was lowered when I was telling so I was not looking at them and I think I overdid it, because when I saw them, they all had tears in their eyes. "S-so h-hea-rt tou-ching." Dawn said in between breaths. They all were crying. "I'm so sorry, I think i got carried away. I'm so sorry, Iris i ruined your birthday...." I apologised. "No it's fine.... It's just so sad to hear about your loss, I couldn't stop myself...." And after that Iris broke down crying more hard. I quickly got up my seat and sat next to her. Giving her a hug and patting to calm her down, "shhh, it's okay, you don't need to cry. It's your happy day. I'm sorry I made you sad on your special day. I'm sorry. Now calm down, I don't want your mom to see you in such condition." I said so that she stops crying. After hearing she slowly nodded her head. "Let's give you our gifts, it will do good. I'll just call leaf, so everyone wipe your tears and please don't talk about it to her." With that I went to the backyard to call leaf, she was playing hide and seek with the Pokemons.

[Leaf POV]

We all were having so much fun out there in the backyard that when Ash came to call us for distributng gift and dinner I felt sad. But I wanted to see Ash's surprise so I went back.

Dawn started first, then Misty, May and Serena. All of them gave very good presents, they know each other well. Now it was Ash's turn. "Okay it's my turn..." he said and placed the pokeball on the table between us. I looked at the pokeball then at Iris in curiosity. She slowly leaned forward and picked it up. "Whats this?" She asked Looking at Ash, "why don't you open it and show us?" he replied, Iris walked to a clear area and tossed the pokeball. A white light emerged and then vanished revealing a small scaly Pokemon. "What's that Pokemon?" She asked in shock Looking at Ash. Who smiled, "it's a Jangmo-o, a dragon type, exclusive from alola, a far away island group." He said, i remember Ash having a Hakamo-o which is Jangmo-o's second stage, which later evolved into Kommo-o.

The small dragon looked around in confusion. "Hey Jangmo-o, I'm Iris your new trainer. I'm sure we can be good friends." Iris said happily, as she crouched in front of it. He looked at her in silence for few seconds then jumped in her arms accepting her. "Awe it's so cute..." i squealed out. After that we sat at the table and ate the food which her mother cooked then returned home. While our way back I asked ask, when did he catch it and he said, "today when you were sleeping."
