Chapter 28

[Pikachu's POV]

Anger, that's what I was feeling right now. Anger at what had happened, anger at those stupid grunts, anger at those mindless Pokemons, anger at Team Rocket, and ANGER at Giovanni. He attacked our headquarters and destroyed everything.

That day was supposed to be a normal routine day. Ash had just finished his works at the office and now we were on our way to home. He had also called Serena and told that we were coming.

But right when we were about to get out from the building. The sirens went off. There was a sudden attack on us. Team rocket had finally built their weapon and was using it on us. Ash and I quickly ran towards the security unit and saw it on the display. A large airship was heading towards Kanto at high speed.

That airship contained the weapon they made. The whole building was destroyed. Many of our recruits died and more were injured lethally. Ash had gained a scar on the side of his face that was deep and long.

We lost many things. Our projects, our members, our Pokemons, they even took some of Ash's legendaries. All we had left was some 300-400 members and their Pokemons,our friends Gary, Clemont, Paul, Alain, and some others, Ash had his Pokemons which he had brought with him. But they took his legendaries. He only had left with Rayquaza, Xerneas, Zeraora and Arceus. One of the members had saved the Jewels from getting in Team Rocket's hands.

Of course the attack was big enough to shake the whole region. Our communication had been cut off. Team Rocket had not just attacked our headquarters but also the whole Kanto-Johto region. We had sent our force to protect the citizens from their attacks but still many lives were lost.

The attack had even given a big impact to the outside world. All the regions had been under extra security and precaution after what had happened in kanto.

If I tell you the whole area around Saffron city, Lavender town, Celadon city and Cerulean city had been completely destroyed. what remained was only the debris of the buildings. The rescue forces sent by us managed to safely take as many people from there before much damage was caused only a few people died.

The forests and the grasslands were burned down. The wild pokemons living there were now homeless. What used to be the beautiful Kanto region was now a burning old ruin. everything we had was lost.

But what I was more worried was that Team Rocket had stolen the pokeballs that ash used to catch the legendaries and I hate to say the only thing Team Rocket specializes is mind controlling. As far as I know they are gonna make them fight against us. And I know Ash would never in a million years hurt his pokemons. They're gonna use his strength as his weakness.

And now the most scared feeling that had been creeping inside me was the safety of my family. Eva, Pichu, Leaf, Serena, Amy and everyone else. I was never more terrified even when I had to face the most vicious creatures when I fought along Ash on his missions. Their safety meant the most to me. Eva and Pichu we're important to me more than anything and I know it was the same with Ash for Leaf.

It had been more than month since we last saw each other let alone talk. I don't know if they are safe or not. I'm so helpless right now, we can't even go back to Kalos to see how they are doing because all the flights are blocked and Ash's Pokemon that are able to fly long distance are all pretty wiped out from the continuous battle.

Today we had somehow managed to calm down the stressful situation around the region and the communications would be set up by tomorrow. Ash had been busy the whole week working out to make the region run again. Our headquarters had been set up in a large field with tents. The security had been increased. The refugees were taken to Pewter city and given place to stay.

Everything had now calmed much and maybe we could get time to go to other region and spread the message. Of course Ash was going to do the job because flights still weren't running and only Ash had the required Pokemons. However, he won't be using Pidgeot for this purpose as Pidgeot had been shot down by a laser beam that was aimed towards a group of people that were being taken to safety. His wings were burnt and he won't be able to fly for a few months.

Ash decide to take Charizard. Hoenn being the nearest was our first stop. Charizard was the only Pokemon except me that was in a condition to walk without pain. After all he was strongest of Ash's Pokemons. Me on the other hand had a small source of the Jewel of energy.

Ash was still in the tent with some officers doing some last minute checks and then we'd be off to Hoenn. I was outside at the field with Charizard. He had a big armoured suit over him that held weapons designed for his use. It had submachine guns that worked with his brain. He had neurotransmitters attached to his neck that helped him control the suit. It was a bullet proof armour.

Charizard held a tense expression over his face. He had been worried for Leaf. Yes, he might be scary from the looks but he had the purest heart you could find on the planet. He loved Leaf just like Ash did. The silence was very awkward so I decide to break it.

“How're you feeling, dude?” I asked in a light tone, but he didn't reply. “Hey don't be that down, I know what you are thinking. I am too scared for their safety, but have faith everything will get better.” Still nothing. “C'mon Charizard, don't be so quiet. Looking at you this condition is making me more scared.” He gave out sigh and slowly turned his head to me.

“You know it very well Pikachu that I cannot be relieved until I'm confirmed that Leaf is safe. She's the only one I love more than me. I'd do anything to make her happy. I know that everything will get better, but when?.” He asked in a very desperate tone. It pained me to see my toughest friend so broke.

“Ash told that after we are done in Hoenn we'll be going to Kalos.” I told, a small smile appeared on his face and he nodded.

Just then Ash came out of the tent. He had a sling bag around his chest. And a few extra pokeballs on his belt, all encase with strong Pokemons, just in case. He came near us. “Okay guys let's go. We have a lot of work today.” He quickly mounted on Charizard's back and we were finally off to Hoenn.
