Chapter 27

[Greninja POV]

I watched in horror as Serena and Leaf fought each other. They fired attacks at each other without thinking. The Jewel had completely taken over them and I wasn't able to stop them from attacking. They had become some kind of monster that has lost control of himself. I did what I could.

I moved the small Pokemons away from the battle to protect them at least. I asked the stronger ones to help me stop them by using their own moves. The psychic types helped by using their moves to stabilize the power of the Jewel but it was too strong to be stopped by them.

Both Serena and Leaf fought with their lives and I swear if any one of them got hit, it would be lethal. I had promise Ash to keep Serena safe but here we are. I don't know if Ash is still alive. Even though I believe that he is alive, I can't help but sometimes wonder what would happen if he….? What will I do without him, he was the only cause of my happiness.

And seeing the current situation, I don't know what will happen if any one or both Serena and Leaf would die.

No, I have to protect them. I have to protect Serena. I have to protect Leaf. I have to protect each and every Pokemon here. Because that is my duty and I am not going to abandon anyone.

I put on a determined face and called out for the Pokemons.

“Every one use PSYCHIC and LIGHT SCREEN to avoid them from hitting each other. Talonflame, Staraptor, Unfezant, Swellow, Gliscor and Noivern use GUST, TWISTER, WING ATTACK or any other air attack to decrease their speed but don't hit them.” I yelled, everyone nodded and did what I told. I too activated my AERIAL ACE and dashed toward them, I only just use my hands to block their attacks but they were really strong. I got thrown away at my first try. But nevertheless, I stood up again and use it again. I tried till I had no more energy left in me. I could see that nearly every other pokemon was tired, but the power of Jewel was too much for us to handle.

I started losing my confidence, I started to fear the worst. That was until I heard a voice in mind.

'Don't give till it's over Greninja!’

It felt like someone literally spoke to me through telepathy and it sounded so much like Ash's. I was confused a little but that soon faded when a suddenly wave of confidence and energy filled in me.

A smirk made its way on my face. I activated AERIAL ACE again and ran forward. Suddenly I was covered in a huge wave of water veil. The veil disappeared and formed a huge shuriken on my back. I knew I had turned into my bond forme, but how? Does this mean ash is somewhere near?

My powers had increased by a great amount. I ran at high speed and blocked every attack that was fired by Serena or Leaf. I felt like a completely new Pokemon. I saw Serena had formed an orb of energy at Leaf. I quickly formed a WATER PULSE and countered it. The moves collided and caused an explosion when the smoke faded I saw a beam of light coming my way. I wasn't able to react fast ending me to get hit by it. The beam threw me away. I fell on the ground and was not able to move for a few moments due to the impact of the beam.

Serena had noticed my interruption and was now aiming another orb of energy at me. At the corner of my eye, I saw Leaf charging another attack at Serena. I wanted to get up and save her, but just as I moved a shearing pain roared in my chest. I winced and laid there, I had only one way left. I charged a HYDRO CANNON, and aimed at Leaf. Leaf had her aim on Serena and Serena at me.

I released my attack first. As it made way towards Leaf, she prepared to released her attack, but when my attack hit her it made her lose her aim and her attack missed Serena.

Serena's attack however hit me directly giving me more pain. I was at a complete disadvantage against a fairy type and electric type power Jewels. Nevertheless I stood up again and activated DOUBLE TEAM. A huge amount of copies of me formed all around, I paced forward. Leaf too had turned her attention to me.

It was good that they had stopped fighting each other but now I was their new target. I knew I wouldn't long much but I have to try my best. Both of them started firing their attacks at me. I could hardly Dodge them, my copies were being killed by the sheer power of the Jewels. My movements had become slow due to my weakness from before. Still I kept on running with all my strength. I would use my attack to block their when I had nowhere to dodge.

The other Pokemons who helping me had also started to get tired. I too wasn't in any condition to fight anymore. I stopped by a large rock to catch my breath, I looked up and saw both of them charging an attack. Leaf looked like she was charging an ELECTROBALL and Serena seemed to be charging a MOON BLAST. I knew I was done for. I knew I would be dead if both of them hit me. I knew I couldn't finish my task - my task of keeping Serena safe. I tried to run but my muscles so sore they pained when I moved preventing me from dodging and the attacks were released. It was only a matter of time before I was on the floor, my vision blurred, my senses all gone. It felt so calm, no my fights, no more running, no more commitments, just an endless bliss of peacefulness. Finally I was on my journey to the eternity.

I saw a bright light ahead of me as I was being pulled forward. I kept going towards the light when suddenly I was going away from it. I looked back and saw another light but this one was pinkish. A thought crawled my mind, 'someone was healing me.' I turned back and was now moving back to the pink glow. Second by second I started moving faster and and soon I was back to life.

I woke up with a loud gasp. I looked around frantically and saw some more Pokemons had joined us. They were the members of rescue teams. A Gallade and Gardevoir were using HEAL PULSE on me. Behind them some more bulky ones were countering but they were clearly weak against them. Gallade gave me a hand and helped me up to my feet. I gave him a nod of acknowledgement in return.

"We saw you fighting the two orbs alone, so we came to help but we're too late as you were already out of the fight. We decided to finish them ourselves but when we fought, I was completely shocked that our attacks were totally useless against them." Gallade spoke. "So we decided to bring you back and work on your command." Gardevoir said, I looked at both of the with a genuine look and said, "thank you for saving me, now bring everyone here and conjure ashield strong enough to endure the attacks till I tell everyone the plan." They both nodded in understanding and called out to their team mates. Metagross and Gallade formed a big LIGHT SCREEN and everyone gathered around me.

"Dude how did you manage to counter them alone, they are so strong we couldn't do it as a team." A garchomp asked, everyone was thinking the same. "I was trained for battles tougher than you can think. Now, what I have in mind is that. Everyone of you will back up for me, you don't have to fight only form Shields and guard for me when they are hitting me, because I am at great disadvantage in type. Rest of it, I can take care of."I told everyone nodded accepting the command then I activated my AERIAL ACE once more and dashed ahead.

This time whenever I was about to being hit by their attacks a light screen would form in front of me saving me from the blasts. This kept going on for a long time when Leaf lost too much control and conjured a big Thunder.

The lightening was aimed on herself and when it fell, it caused a blast so strong everything was knocked away. She then fired another lightening at the Pokemons all around and only one hit from her attack would faint the Pokemons. Now everyone was down and I had no more sheilds left. She was looking straight at me. Serena was there too both ready fire their attacks once again at me. If was hit now, I would not be revived again. I stood firm at my place as they both charged their attacks one last time at me.

And when I had lost all hope a loud draconic roar was heard from the distance.

*Whistles* Man, that was intense. I just had a question in my mind. Are my battles good enough to read? Or should I describe them more thoroughly? That would take more time from my enjoyment if I need to write them more vivid. Anyways I'm done for this month the next update will be in June. Sorry but I cannot finish it earlier as far as I can think of, but if it is done early you can get it in May maybe.
