Wisps of ashes, red hot and ready to ignite. Bright golden showers of light dancing around. It was a beautiful sight yet in this awestruck vision, there was a reminiscence of ugliness.A young teenager, with his slumped posture, was being dragged along. Thick, heavy chains joined his wrists together, weighing him down so that the man who forced him along held all the control.
Of course, that man happened to be Luke Castellan, a son of Hermes whom had turned his back onto the Gods, causing havoc wherever he went for the past five years. But, this blond-haired man’s mission was successful. He had achieved everything that his ambitious self had set out to do. Especially since the young teenager that was struggling behind him was the hero destined to strike him down.
The fated hero was Percy Jackson, a forbidden son of Poseidon. He’d been tossed into the world of Mythology after fending off the fury, Alecto and decimating the Minotaur, untrained and loss stricken by his mother’s disappearance. Along the years, Percy was a case full of unfortunate events and Luke was often amused by how far the kid had come.
The son of Hermes dropped his spoil of war to his knees, a grin plastered on his face as he stared at the man on the golden throne.
His Lord. His Lord of Time. His everything. That was what the Titan Kronos was to the son of Hermes. Normally, it wasn’t acceptable to fall in love with your master, the one who manipulated you to all the evils in the world, but Luke felt no remorse for his heart being stolen by the Time Lord. He was especially grateful for Kronos begrudgingly accepting his request to allow Percy Jackson to live along with a few of the others that showed no support to overthrow the gods. The only problem was that Luke had taken a liking to the sea spawn, much to Kronos’ dislikes.
“My Lord,” Luke addressed, bowing down as his blue eyes studied Percy’s sea green ones. “I have brought you the boy.”
Kronos, who like all mythological beings, was able to change his form. This brilliance of evil had opted for a more humanistic appearance just, so he could remind Luke of his love. The Time Lord was breathtakingly beautiful… more than you’d ever imagine. His hair was a chocolate brown that shone in the golden light and his reddish-brown eyes were always filled with not only his endless anger but also love.
“You have done well, my love,” Kronos said. “Alas, where is the other that I was promised?”
“He should be here at any moment, my Lord.”
Luke had just finished speaking when the thick, oaken doors were flung open, the creak of its hinges echoing around the magnificently destroyed throne room. The guards and Artemis’s hunters filled the room with their bodies and presences.
“My Lord,” a black-haired girl stepped forward. “Sorry for the inconvenience but we have found the son of Jupiter, Jason.”
The smile on Luke’s face showed all his proudness as he watched Thalia. He was quite glad that he had managed to convince the daughter of Zeus to join his cause just before a statue fell onto her frame, stopping her from helping Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood.
“Show him to us,” Kronos commanded. “I wish to take a glimpse at his shattered form.”
However, when this Jason stepped forward, Luke was slightly disappointed. The son of Jupiter shared the same hair and eye colour as him. Not to mention, an identifiable scar was evident. Whereas Luke had the one from his eye to lip, Jason’s was on his top lip. Surely there had to be a good story to how this Jason had obtained that scar.
“This is Jason Grace, a former praetor of New Rome,” Thalia announced.
Luke nodded his head. So, this was Thalia’s traitorous brother. Her brother who dared to stand with poise in front of the Time Lord. No wonder she was glad to accept Lord Kronos’ quest to claim the rebellious teenager.
