His face lit up like the fourth of July as the hug became tighter. The boy in his grasp was spun around. He too was grinning. It’d been awhile since the two of them were reunited. They’d been separated after the war with Gaia but now the happy couple was once again in one another’s arms. The blonde haired, blue eyed boy was younger than the black haired, sea green eyed boy but he was two inches taller. It was he who ran at his boyfriend and swopped him from the ground. The couple began to levitate in the air, and to the Son of Poseidon, it wasn’t a preferred activity, but he tried his best to not freak out. The wind whipped around them as their lips connected, the kiss full of long wanting passion.
“Damn, I’ve missed you Perce,” the son of Jupiter commented as he pulled away from the kiss.
Percy blushed, all shades of red. “Yeah, you too Jason,” he murmured. “Let’s never leave each other?”
Jason chuckled. “Can’t promise you anything, ‘fraid so,” he said. “But I will try to make sure I don’t leave you in the storm if anything bad occurs.”
Percy made the mistake of glancing down. “Uhh, can we go down on land?” he questioned.
“Well, I’m not particularly fond of water but we kiss under it,” Jason remarked. “So, I think we can stay up here a little longer.”
“Yeah but people are looking…”
Jason looked down, grinning. A look of amusement sparkled in his eyes. “Let them see,” he said before placing his lips on Percy’s once again. “Damn, you are spectacular.” Jason’s lips peppered kisses down Percy’s neck.
Percy raised an eyebrow. “You know what that word means?” he asked. “Besides, that’s not what I usually hear coming from you.”
This time Jason was blushing. “Alright, you win… this time” he said as he lowered them down to the ground.
When they hit the ground, the Demigods swarmed around them. They too hadn’t seen the couple in a while. A blonde girl, with princess curls and stormy grey eyes, marched up to the couple. Her clothing consisted of an orange Camp Half- Blood t- shirt and blue mid- thigh denim shorts. She punched Jason in the shoulder before drawing Percy into a tight hug.
“Took you long enough Seaweed Brain,” she commented. “We’ve been waiting for you for days now.” The girl pulled away from the hug. “Dinner will be served shortly so don’t get into too much trouble.” As she turned away from them, she winked in their direction.
Annabeth led the crowd to the dining pavilion, leaving Percy and Jason on the hill. The two boys glanced at one another whilst entwining their fingers. They strolled down the hill following the crowd. But they made a stop at the strawberry fields just because the berries were in bloom. Also, Percy wouldn’t shut up about them. So, they collected a handful before making their way to the dining pavilion.
When they got there, all eyes immediately glanced at them. Their food laid untouched. Percy’s eyes rolled as he sat down at the Poseidon table. Jason plonked down beside him. He slung an arm around his boyfriend’s shoulder, a lazy grin plastered on his face. The food for dinner was served by nymphs. Percy’s plate consisted of a stack of blue pancakes which were drowned in syrup. A glass of blue cherry Coke accompanied the breakfast plate. Jason rolled his eyes at Percy.
He’d tried to stop the son of Poseidon from eating pancakes all day everyday but ever since Percy came back from Tartarus there was things not even Jason could try and change. A few months after the war and yet here he was still doing some of those habits he’d picked up.
Jason shook his head and decided to eat his slice of Pepperoni pizza. He drank it down with a glass of water.
He’d heard about everything from Percy’s mother, Sally Jackson, who had always kept in contact with Jason just in case her son decided to come back to Camp and to his friends. Percy, in general, rarely called Jason. When he did, it was because he wanted answers to the schoolwork that Jason knew the answers to, despite being a few years younger than the son of Poseidon. Percy Jackson was smarter than people thought he was. Sometimes, he just needed a little help to be able to do things for himself. Jason’s thoughts were interrupted by fork coming into his vision. Stuck on it was a piece of blue pancake that wasn’t drowning in syrup.
“You should try these,” Percy told the son of Jupiter. “These pancakes are amazing!”
“As much as you are?” Jason questioned his boyfriend.
“Don’t flatter me,” Percy told him. “Just try the pancake.”
“You said I couldn’t compliment you which means that if I like the pancake, that’s flattering you.”
Percy groaned. This time, Jason won. Percy ate the last slice of pancake. “Your lose, Grace,” he muttered after he swallowed the pancake.
“Yes, but it was a willing sacrifice,” Jason murmured to Percy. “Two points to me.”
“And I’m drowning in your words,” Percy said, sarcasm noticeable in his voice. “We’re even.”
“Says the one who is shorter than me,” Jason remarked, a grin on his face.
Percy went to comment but Annabeth’s laugh stopped him. The girl’s grey eyes sparkled with happiness as she listened to Piper’s conversation. Jason and Percy didn’t mind that the two of them were dating. It’d made them happy to see the respect Piper and Annabeth received when they’d decided to become a couple after Gaia was defeated. Percy nodded his head.“You do realise that you’re younger than me, yes?”
Jason rolled his eyes before muttering something about being the hottest. Percy had ended the bickering with declaring Jason as the winner. All he wanted to do was sleep. The warm pancakes had gotten him in the mood to rest his head on the comfy pillows in the Poseidon cabin. Jason couldn’t argue with him. He’d had a busy day training the newest camp members, tolerating all the rude comments and iconise sword movements.
“I’m going to head to my cabin,” Jason and Percy said at the exact time.
They laughed before getting out of their seats. Their hands interlinked once again as they exited the dining pavilion. They headed to Percy’s cabin, number three.
“I’ll see you in the morning,” Jason told the son of Poseidon. “You get a goodnight’s sleep and in the morning-“
“I’m making waffles,” Percy commented, laughing. He glanced at Jason before holding his arms up in defeat. “I’m joking.” He was still laughing.
“You’re helping me train the others,” Jason said. “They’ll appreciate your training more than mine. I think I’m too harsh on them.”
“You think you’re too harsh,” Percy commented, raising an eyebrow. “Trust me, I’ve experienced all of the harsh side of you.”
“Don’t say that too loud,” Jason said, lightly punching Percy on the shoulder. “I don’t want people to hear that.”
“You’re not graceful,” Percy told him. “You’re graceless.”
“You’re the clumsy one,” Jason retorted. “I’ve seen all of your clumsy moments.”
“Go to bed, Grace,” Percy said. “We’ll continue this in the morning.”
Jason drew Percy into a hug before placing a kiss on his forehead. “Have a good sleep,” he told his boyfriend. “I’ll wake you in the morning.”
The son of Jupiter watched his boyfriend close his cabin door before he headed to Cabin one. Tomorrow was going to be a long day and he needed all the sleep he could get and now that Percy was back, he knew everything would run a lot more smoother at Camp.
