In which two trainees grow up together.

3rd POV

Jeongyeon had been announced to participate in the survival program called "Sixteen."

"Hey! Why are you sad? You could... No wait... Will debut."

"I wanted us to be in the same group..."

"I mean... It's not like it's the worst that could happen. Just promise me that you'll get through it," (Y/N) said and held up her pinky.

Jeongyeon started tearing up and held her pinky against (Y/N)'s.

"Promise."

A few weeks later, Jeongyeon and the rest of the contestants were suddenly called to a stage.

"Huh?"

"What is this?"

"I wonder why we're here."

JYP then stood at another stage that was at a higher level. He proceeded to explain everything and put everyone in their respective groups. Jeongyeon landing in Minor.

All rules were also explained and the first half of the episode was complete.

"Excuse me? JYP-Nim," (Y/N) asked while gently knocking on his door.

"Hm? Come in."

The two both stayed silent until,

"So what is it? A trainee doesn't really come here often."

"Oh... Sorry if I interrupted but I was wondering if I could use the studio the Sixteen members were."

"And why would that be?"

"..."

(Y/N) stood there quietly thinking.

"I wish to be able to encourage someone on the show."

"I don't see the problem with that. However, the camera may record you and I'm not sure if you'd be comfortable with that."

"As long as I can encourage her, nothing else matters."

JYP slightly smiled and dismissed (Y/N). After she had left, he says under his breath,

"I knew I chose the right trainees."

Meanwhile, in the Minor dorm, there was a discussion.

"How are we supposed to be better if we have to practice at night?"

"This really is unfair."

"It's really tiring too."

Suddenly, a few knocks were heard from the door.

"I'll get it," Somi said.

"I'm coming in," a voice announced from the door.

"(Y/N)," Jeongyeon partly exclaimed.

"What are you doing here? You realize how late it is? Don't you need to sleep," Jeongyeon scolded.

"S-sorry... I just wanted to check in, you know?"

"Out of all times, you check in at 1 in the morning."

"It's not like I didn't do that before," (Y/N) mumbled, lips slightly pouted.

"Since you're here, Jihyo and I were about to go to the practice rooms... Wanna join?"

"Heckle yeahs."
