(Y/N) POV

My world is so dull. So colorless. So quiet. So average. So... meaningless.

They say you meet your significant other in a different way from everyone. I have yet to have it happen to me.

I had no friends and if I did, I never knew their names. I'd just call them "pal" or "buddy."

I sigh and lay on my bed.

"Maybe this is why I haven't met anyone yet." I mumble to myself.

I decide to leave the house and walk to the convenience store close by. I enter and buy myself a drink.

There's a lady struggling to look for any sort of change at the register.

"I'll handle it." I bluntly told her.

She looked into my dull eyes with her bright ones.

"Thank you!"

After the purchase, I sat outside on a bench. There was another person on the end so I went to the other side.

"Thank you for helping me earlier." The voice called out.

I looked over and saw the girl at the convenience store.

"It's nothing." I replied.

"What's your name?"

"Don't know why you need to know but it's (Y/N)."

"That's a nice name. Mine is &%$/."

"Pardon? I couldn't here it."

"*(&#$."

I ignored the fact that I couldn't hear her name well and excused myself.

"I'll be taking my leave. It was nice meeting you."

"Wait! Could we exchange numbers?"

"Sure...?"

We learned about each other and eventually got into a relationship. However, we ended up breaking up.

I had felt nothing when I was with her. The same empty feeling and I was back on my bed.

I took a walk to the convenience store where I had met her. I walked through the door and got myself a drink.

I walk to pay for my drink.

"Sorry, but you'll need another dollar."

"Ah..."

"I'll handle it." I said again.

It was like dejavu.

The woman turned around to look at me. Her eyes as dull as mine.

"Thank you."

I payed for everything and just left. No sitting on the bench. Just heading straight home.

The next day, I went to the mall to get another hoodie.

I saw the girl from yesterday. She looked at me.

The suddenly her eyes shine brightly.

She grabbed my hand and ran outside with me.

"What was that for?"

"I think I found you..."

"Excuse me but what?"

"I said I think I found you... We're lovers...!"

"What's your name?"

"Jihyo. Park Jihyo."

Come to think of it, this was the first time I've heard anyone else's name.
