Hello all! I know that it's been a while since I updated but I finally started rewatching Teen Wolf so I got a bit distracted. I have been trying to get as much written as possible but life fucking sucks and I don't often get the chance. Also, I will be going on vacation for like, a week and I'm leaving on Sunday. I have no clue how much I will be updating because I'm going to Tennessee and will be on the road for a day and then I'm staying at a cabin. Also, I know the chapter is slightly shorter that usual but it's the best I have for now. I had a blast making the new cover on Quotev, so I'm definitely making covers on there from now on. Anyway, here's your much awaited chapter and I hope you enjoy it. (Song above is random af. It's currently about 1:45 a.m. and I'm too lazy to actually find a song.)
-Recap-
"Okay. Well, I should get going. Call me if you need anything." Derek says, giving me a quick kiss.
"I will. Be careful, I love you."
"Love you too."
(Lyrica's P.O.V.)
Derek leaves the house, driving to where I assume the party is taking place. I slowly get out of bed and walk over to my door, opening it to see Isaac standing there, about to knock.
"Holy God!" He exclaims while jumping back, making me laugh. "Don't do that! You scared the shit out of me!"
"Sorry Bud." I chuckle. "I won't do it again. But let's head downstairs and get food so we can watch movies all night."
"Okay!" Isaac says before running down the stairs. I laugh and walk after him. I find him in the kitchen, patiently waiting for me.
"Alright, we have tons of junk food. Chocolate, baked goods, chips, you name it." I say, walking over.
"Chocolate. Lots of chocolate." Isaac says excitedly.
"Candy, ice cream, and cookies it is." I say, pulling two tubs of ice cream out of the freezer. I go to reach up in a higher cabinet for the other sweets, when Isaac stops me.
"Mum, I haven't forgotten that you hurt your arm. No heavy lifting or high reaching." Isaac says, making me groan.
"Damn you, Icy." I go to get out two spoons. I turn around and see him with two large chocolate bars in his hand along with the box of cookies.
"What movie are we watching?" Isaac asks as we walk back to my room.
"Not sure. How about a comedy?" I reply.
"I'm good with that." Isaac says as we enter the room.
"Sweet." I start, putting the ice cream and spoons on the bed. "Go change into some pajamas. I'll find a good movie to start with."
"Okey dokey." Isaac says, skipping off to his room. I chuckle at him and pick up the remote, pulling up a Bo Burnham movie. By the time I have the movie pulled up, Isaac is back in the room, lying on the bed as he cracks open the tub of cookie dough ice cream. I hit play and go to lay down by Isaac.
"What movie are we watching?" He asks, eyes glued to the screen.
"'Bo Burnham, Make Happy.'" I say, opening the double fudge brownie ice cream.
"What's that?" He asks through a mouthful of ice cream.
"Don't talk with your mouth full." I scold before answering his question. "He's a comedian. He has a few movies and this is one of them. Now hush. It's starting."
An hour later, the movie ends and Isaac and I get up to put away the ice cream and cookies. I toss the spoons in the sink and put the ice cream in the freezer before checking the time. It's only about 5:30.
"Hey Isaac, do you want to order a pizza for dinner?" I ask, turning to face him.
"God yes." He says before laughing at himself. "I haven't had pizza in forever."
"It's a deal, then." I chuckle before going to pick up my cell phone, ordering the pizza.
-Time Skip-
(11:00 p.m.)
I groan and slightly open my eyes as I feel the bed dip beside me. I turn around, facing my husband as he pulls me towards him. I wrap my good arm around him and lay my head on his chest.
"What time is it?" I ask, my words muffled in his shirt.
"Uh, about eleven." He sheepishly says.
"I'm too tired to scold you for being out so late." I sigh, my eyelids drooping.
"Go to sleep, Lyrica." Derek whispers, kissing my head. "I'll be here when you wake up."
"I love you." I mumble.
"I love you too." He says, his heartbeat lulling me to sleep.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Next Day-
(Lyrica's P.O.V.)
I wake up to a soft knocking on my bedroom door. I squeeze my eyes shut, snuggling further into the soft pillow under me. It's quiet for a couple minutes before he knocking sounds again. I groan in annoyance and feel my pillow move, making me realize that my "pillow" is actually my husband. Derek carefully and slowly lifts me off of him, gently laying me back down on the cushions before walking over and opening the door.
"Hey, Kiddo." Derek says, meaning that he's talking to Isaac. "What's up?"
"I-I was wondering if I could get a ride to school?" Isaac fearfully mutters. "I don't really know my way from here. I would walk if I did."
"Yeah, of course. Just let me get dressed and get Lyrica up." Derek says kindly.
"Thanks." Isaac says. "I guess I'll just wait downstairs."
"Okay." Derek chuckles. "We won't be long."
"Alright." Isaac says before I hear him leave and Derek close the door. He walks over to the bed and I open my eyes to look at him.
"You're warm. It's cold in here." I complain, holding out my arms to him. Derek walks up and sits down beside me, pulling me into his warm embrace.
"I'm sorry, Baby." He says as I wrap my arms around his shoulders, burying my face in his neck. "But we should probably get dressed. Isaac shouldn't be late to school. It wouldn't be good for any of us."
"Yeah, fine. But I'm stealing your leather jacket." I say, pulling away from him.
"Deal." He says, chuckling. "We need to change your bandages before we get dressed, though."
"Alright." I say, standing up and walking towards the bathroom, Derek right behind me. We walk in and I jump onto the counter as Derek grabs the bandages. He walks up and unwraps the bandages, furrowing his brows in confusion.
"That's weird." He says, looking at my arm.
"What?" I ask, looking down. I gasp at the smooth, tan skin of my arm, perfectly healed. "Looks like we're paying Deaton another visit."
"Yeah." Derek agrees, putting the supplies away. "But we still need to get Isaac to school."
"Shit, we do." I curse, running back into our room.
Edit: May 8, 2020. This chapter didn't take very long to edit. That makes me a very happy camper.
