Hello! I'm alive! Somewhat, at least. I know I haven't updated in forever, and you guys don't want to hear some stupid excuse, but I've been really behind on all or my writing because I've had such horrible writer's block, especially with this story. I love this story so much and I'm never abandoning it, but season 2 is much harder to write than I expected and I'm beyond excited for season 3. I seriously considered skipping to season 3, but I know you guys wanted season 2 and it wouldn't be quite right without the bonding between Lyrica and the betas. So I'm gonna power through as quick as I can for you guys, and we'll see if I can beat this writer's block. Also, regarding my hectic updating, I have discovered that I often forget that I have stories posted on here. Therefore, if I get too behind on any updates for this story, that being like a week or more between new chapters, feel free to DM me and remind me. I usually get new chapters up as soon as someone directly reminds me, so don't worry about being patient with me, lol. Nag me all you want. Anywho, ranting session over. Enjoy this kinda cute, kinda sad chapter.

-Recap-

"Isaac, go get the board games and take Erica to pick out a couple chick flicks." At my words, the teens cheer and Isaac quickly leads his new pack mate to our storage closet where we keep the games and movies.

"I can't believe you got them to listen to you like that." Derek chuckles, tightening his grip on my waist.

"Hey, it's not my fault kids love me." I laugh.

-The Next Night-

(Lyrica's P.O.V.)

When I get home after school, I find the house completely empty. I drop my bags and change into a red tank top, black ripped skinny jeans, a black leather jacket, and black combat boots. I track Derek and the betas through the pack bond and find them at the ice rink.

I walk in just in time to see Isaac and Erica charge Scott on the ice. Boyd sits on his Zamboni, watching the fight take place. I walk out onto the ice and stand next to Derek, feeling my anger rise as Scott repeatedly beats Isaac and Erica down. Before I know it, Scott has them both beat and they're both laid on the cold ice.

"Don't you get it?" Scott growls to the betas. "He's not doing this for you. He's just adding to his own power, okay? It's all about him. He makes you feel like he's giving you some kind of gift, when all he's done is turn you all into a bunch of guard dogs!" Scott angrily slides the exhausted Isaac and Erica to our feet and I can't help but growl at him.

"It's true." Derek says. "It is about power." He moves to go after Scott, but I put my hand up to stop him.

"Let me." I snarl and Derek steps back, knowing better than to try to stop me.

I stalk forward towards Scott, flicking my claws out as I walk. I feel my eyes glowing purple and I crack my neck, my fangs extending. I growl at the beta as he braces himself for a fight. I reach him and stand in front of the teenager. I look him in the eyes before snarling and slamming my forehead into his. He stumbles back and I lunge forward, tearing my claws across his abdomen. He screams in pain and I launch two punches into his chin. I ram my fist into his gut and he groans, doubling over in pain. I go to attack him again, but he rears up and elbows me in the jaw. I stumble back but snarl, not appreciating the blow. I grin and charge him again, easily catching his fist as he weakly attempts to punch me. I land blow after blow to his face before picking him up and slamming him back down onto the ice. He turns his head and coughs up blood. I place my foot on his chest and push down, watching him struggle to breathe. After a moment, I release him and back away.
