Unintentionally a bit of sassy Lyrica in this chapter, and I was honestly cracking up when I reread it.

-Recap-

"Need a hand?" He asks and I fall into a sitting position.

"Dad?"

(Lyrica's P.O.V.)

I sigh as my phone rings yet again, blaring "Kids in The Dark" by All Time Low. I ignore the call and finish my shower before stepping out, wrapping a towel around my body and walking into my room. I ignore the phone as it rings yet again, blaring the same song over and over. I quickly slip on a black tank top, burgundy jeans, black combat boots, and a black leather jacket. I pick up my phone and text Derek that I went out and will be back by 11. As soon as the text sends, my phone rings again. I hit answer this time, bringing the phone to my ear as I turn and make my way out of the house.

"Yes, Stiles?" I ask.

"Finally! It freaking took you long enough!" He exclaims.

"I'd say 'sorry', but I was doing more important things." I reply. "Now what do you need?"

"Scott, Allison, and I need your help."

"Allison, as in the little girl who tried to kill me and Derek?" I angrily ask, storming into the woods after their scents.

"Yes. Look, she's really sorry." Stiles sighs before Scott takes the phone and speaks. "Besides, we're trying to help Lydia. You two can fight it out later. Or never, seeing as you could probably kill her."

"Oh, not probably." I smirk, walking up behind them at the old Hale house. I hang up the phone, walking to them. "I would kill her if I had the chance."

"Oh my God!" They all scream, jumping a foot in the air.

"If your hearts are beating again, we should continue looking for your redheaded bestie." I say.

"She came here?" Stiles asks Scott as we walk up to the house. "You sure?"

"Yeah, this is where the scent leads." The young beta replies.

"All right, but has Lydia ever been here?"

"Not with me." Allison answers. "Maybe she came here on instinct. Like she was looking for Derek."

"You mean... looking for an alpha." Scott sighs and they all turn to look at me.

"While it's possible in most cases, it's not possible in this one." I shrug.

"Meaning?"

"Meaning, I was in the hospital with Isaac when she screamed and disappeared. She would have come straight to me but didn't. So she's not looking for an alpha."

"Well wolves need a pack, right?" Allison asks, confused.

"Not all of them."

"But would she have been drawn to an alpha? Is it an instinct to be part of a pack?"

"Yeah, we're-we're stronger in packs." Scott stutters.

"Like strength in numbers." Allison nods.

"No, like literally." I butt in. "Stronger, faster, better in every way."

"Is that the same for an alpha?"

"That'll make Derek stronger too." Scott replies as Stiles walks around.

"Ooh, hey, look at this." Stiles says, crouching over a wire tied to a tree. "You see this?"

Scott and Allison walk to him, and I stand where Scott once was, looking around to monitor our surroundings.
