Hello again! I am so sorry for missing the update yesterday. I forced myself to put school work first, and by the time I was done, it was 11 p.m. so I missed the update. But I'm here now and here's the new chapter. I guarantee you guys I'll be on top of updating for at least the next 3 weeks because I'm off school because of the Corona virus. Pretty pissed about it, but oh well. Sorry about the short chapter. It's all I have pre-written at the moment. Enjoy!

-Recap-

"Derek." I cough, desperately reaching for my phone on my desk.

(3rd P.O.V.)

Isaac is walking away from the crime scene with Stiles and Scott, when pain suddenly erupts through his chest. He releases a yell, scaring the other 2 teens, and drops onto his knees while clutching his shirt.

"Holy crap! Isaac?!" Scott asks as he and Stiles drop down next to the beta. "What's wrong? What's happening?"

"I-I don't know." Isaac grunts, struggling to cope with the pain.

"Isaac, your mark." Stiles says, pulling the werewolf's right hand from his shirt, revealing a red glow from under his shirt. "Look."

"Stiles, I don't think his mark is really important right now." Scott exclaims, looking around to make sure nobody saw them.

"Shut up and look!" Stiles exclaims, staring at the werewolf's side.

"Oh my God." Scott gasps, looking at the once black mark.

"What?" Isaac groans, looking down to see his skin glowing red underneath his shirt. "What the hell?"

"Come on. Let's get you to Lyrica." Stiles rushes to haul Isaac up, and with the help of Scott, they manage to make it into the school unnoticed.

"Okay, there is definitely something wrong." Scott says as Isaac lets out another grunt of pain.

"Just shut up and move faster." Stiles says as Lyrica's room comes into view.

"Lyrica, something's wrong!" Scott exclaims as they burst into the room, slamming the door behind them.

"No shit." Lyrica's voice is hoarse and they look up to see her frantically trying to call someone on her phone, hand pressed to her torso where blood is seeping through her fingers.

"Mom, what's going on?" Isaac asks as Scott and Stiles help him into a chair.

"Something's wrong with Derek." She replies, holding the phone up to her ear. "Come on, Der. Answer the damn phone."

"What's going on?" Scott asks.

"Derek?!" Lyrica exclaims.

"Not quite. Try again, Sweetie." A deep voice sounds through the phone.

(Lyrica's P.O.V.)

"Ennis." I growl, pressing against the wound in my chest.

"Correct."

"Where are they?"

"Oh, you mean Cora, Derek, and your precious baby brother? Well, the girl is currently trapped underneath my foot. The baby is hiding somewhere and sobbing. Your dear mate is in a bit of a predicament. You can feel it, can't you?"

"Let them go right now." I seethe.

"You see, we can't do that." Ennis chuckles.

"You can and you will. Or else-" I'm cut off by my own vigorous coughing, blood staining my hand more than it already is.

"That's so fascinating. You both coughed up blood at the same time. How sweet. Is your little son doing it too?"

"I'm gonna kill you"

"Not yet, Sweetheart." The line goes dead just as I feel the pain lessen.

"Is he okay?" Isaac asks.

"He will be." I sigh, looking down at my ruined shirt. "I'm glad I keep an extra shirt in here."

"Why wasn't Isaac bleeding?" Stiles asks as I stand, getting the shirt from my cabinet.

"Since he's our son, he doesn't feel everything to the extent that Derek and I do." I reply, standing behind the cabinet door as I change my shirt as quick as possible.

"So that's why you were bleeding while I could only feel the pain." Isaac says.

"Correct." I close the cabinet. "Now you guys go change and get ready for class. We'll talk later."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I swear to God, Isaac, if you try to take on the twins again, you won't have to worry about them killing you." I seethe, my eyes briefly leaving the road to look at my son who is shrinking down in his seat. "You know why? Because I'll kill you myself!"

"I'm sorry, Mom." Isaac quietly says and I sigh.

"It's alright. Just please don't do that again. With everything going on with Hunter and Cora and all the murders, I don't want to be terrified of you getting killed because of a reckless decision. Do you understand?"

"I do. I won't do it again, I promise."

"Thank you, Icy." I say as we reach the house. "I'm gonna go check on your father, and then take Hunter to the station to get the legal papers sorted out."

"Isn't the sheriff gonna have to sign off or something?" Isaac asks as we exit the car.

"Nope. I need to sign it and Derek does too, and that's the basics. Stiles said Noah isn't in the station so we should be able to avoid him entirely."

"When are you gonna tell him about Hunter?"

"Not anytime soon. I don't have to tell him anything. He abandoned us. He lost all rights to be our father the day he closed that door on us."

"But what if Hunter wants to meet him?"

"We'll deal with that when the time comes." I shrug, opening the front door. "We're home!"

"Sissy!" Hunter squeals, running up and crashing into me.

"Hey, Bud." I laugh, setting my bag down to pick him up. "Where's Derek and Cora?"

"Cora's in the shower." Derek says, coming in from the living room while removing rubber gloves from his hands.

"What the hell were you doing?" Isaac asks, voicing my thoughts.

"Scrubbing my blood off the floor." Derek calmly replies, tossing the gloves in the trash. "How was school?"

"Isaac got lunch detention, had a panic attack during it, and he and Scott tried to take on Voltron Wolf."

"But the lunch detention wasn't my fault." Isaac quickly pipes up. "The twins framed me. So we got payback by getting Aiden suspended."

"As long as you got payback." Derek nods before turning to me and Hunter. "You guys ready to go?"

"As ready as we'll ever be." I bounce Hunter and he giggles.
