-Recap-

"Just say you'll help me and I'll help you unlock your other..." Scott trails off as Derek breaks the cuff. Confused, Scott turns to look at us.

"We'll help you."

(Lyrica's P.O.V.)

I'm helping Derek walk while Scott leads us out of the tunnel.

"Hey. Hold on." Derek says and we stop so he can catch his breath. "Hold on. Hold on."

Scott turns to face us as we look around.

"Something doesn't feel right." I say.

"What do you mean?" Scott asks, looking around too.

"I don't know. It was- It was kind of like it was-"

"No, don't say 'too easy'." Scott cuts me off. "People say 'too easy' and bad things happen. What, do you think finding Derek was easy? Getting away from Allison's dad? None of this has been easy."

"Fine. You're right." I sigh.

"Thank you." Scott says and looks away.

As soon as he looks away, an arrow flies straight into Derek's shoulder, sending him to the ground.

"Derek!" I exclaim, falling to my knees beside him.

I look up and see Allison with her bow, Kate crouched beside her.

"Now the leg." Kate whispers and Allison shoots Derek in the leg. I loudly growl at them and Kate grins. "Shoot her in the head."

Allison shoots an arrow straight for my face and I catch it, snapping it in half with one hand.

"Really?" I growl, rising to my feet. "Are you that dumb, Kate?"

"Flash bolt." Kate calmly instructs and Allison pulls out the arrow, aiming for the tree beside Scott.

"Scott, your eyes!" Derek yells from the ground. Scott doesn't listen and is blinded by the flash, crashing to the ground.

"Quick. Shoulder." Kate instructs and Allison sends an arrow towards me. I don't have time to process it before the arrow is buried in my left shoulder. "Leg. Now."

Allison fires another arrow and I move in time for it to just graze my leg. I groan and fall to the ground beside Derek. I painfully rip the arrow from my shoulder as he pulls the arrows from his leg and shoulder. Derek and I get up and grab Scott, pulling him towards the house. I hear Kate and Allison follow us, and Derek falls, pushing Scott forwards.

"Scott, go!" I shout, falling beside Derek.

"Lyrica, you need to run." He pants.

"No. I'm not leaving you." I say.

Scott rubs his eyes, backing away towards the house as Allison marches up to him.

"Allison, I can explain." He says.

"Stop lying." She demands. "For once, stop lying."

"I was gonna tell you the truth at the formal. I was gonna tell you everything. Because everything that I said, everything that I did-"

"Was to protect me." She scoffs, cutting him off.

"Yes."

"I don't believe you."

"Thank God, now shoot him before I have to shoot myself." Kate exclaims, walking up and stopping beside us.

"You-You said we were just gonna catch them?" Allison says, confused.

"We did that. And now we're gonna kill them." Kate says before shooting me and Derek. "See? Not that hard."

"Oh no..." Kate says walking to Allison, who looks appalled. "Tsk. I know that look. That's the 'you're gonna have to do it yourself' look."

"Kate, Kate, what are you doing?" Allison asks and they turn their backs on me so I painfully begin trying to pull the bullet out of my stomach.

"Mm. I love those brown eyes." Kate says.

"Kate!" Allison's father shouts, stopping her. "I know what you did. Put the gun down."

"I did what I was told to do." Kate defends herself.

"No one asked you to murder innocent people." Chris replies. "There were children in that house, ones that were human. Look what you're doing now. You're holding a gun at a 16 year old boy with no proof he spilled human blood. We go by the code- 'Nous chassons ceux qui nous chassent'."

"We hunt those who hunt us." Allison mutters.

"Put the gun down." Chris says, pulling a gun on his sister. He shoots the tree beside her. "Before I put you down."

Kate lowers her gun, but the front door to the Hale House creaks open.

"Allison, get back." Chris demands his daughter as the Argents point their guns towards the door and Scott scrambles back.

"What is it?" She asks and I stand, moving up by Scott.

"It's the alpha." I say as Scott and I shift.

The alpha dashes out the door and we all spin around, trying to watch it as it runs around us. It knocks Chris to the ground, then Allison, then Scott, then me, leaving Kate standing.

"Come on!" She screams, wildly spinning around, her gun pointed at nothing. "Come on!"

Peter, in his human form, appears beside Kate. He grabs her arm and tilts it upwards as she fires her gun. Peter snaps her wrist before grabbing her by the throat and throwing her onto the porch of the house. He speeds up to her and takes her by the throat again and drags her inside. Allison shouts and runs after them, thinking she can save her aunt.

"She is beautiful, Kate." I hear Peter say. "She looks like you. Probably not as damaged. So I'm going to give you a chance to save her. Apologize. Say that you're sorry for decimating my family, for leaving me burned and broken for six years. Say it... and I'll let her live."

Derek, Scott, and I quietly shift and slip inside the house, waiting to reveal ourselves.

"I'm sorry." Kate says. It goes quiet for a moment before Peter slits her throat, blood splattering all over the ruined windows.

"No!" Allison shouts.

"I don't know about you, Allison." Peter pants. "But that apology... didn't sound very sincere."

He moves to attack the girl, but Scott reveals himself to her left, growling at the alpha. Derek growls and walks out to the right and Peter looks at him, unamused. I step out in front of Allison and she hides behind me.

"Run." Scott demands of Allison and she sprints out of the house.
