Hello! I've been writing bits and pieces of this chapter all week and I know it's a rather short chapter, but I wanted to get this posted. I have no clue what time it is where you guys are, but it's currently 8:30 p.m. where I am and I know that I love reading a new story update right before bed. So here you go. Also, how would you guys like it if I started posting questions to go along with each chapter? I love seeing your comments and it'd help me understand you guys more. Lmk what you think. Adios!

-Recap-

"Maybe he only died for a while. What if he actually survived but they didn't know it?!"

"Boyd, stop." Isaac mutters. "I wish he was here, I really do. It hurts my parents so much and I'd kill to meet him. But he's gone and there's no bringing him back."

(Lyrica's P.O.V.)

I groan loudly, throwing my hand towards my nightstand in search of my ringing phone. I finally feel it and lift it over my face, squinting at the bright screen. I groan again upon seeing my biological father calling me.

"What?" I snap, holding the phone to my ear.

"Look, I know you don't like me-"

"That's putting it lightly." I scoff. "Just tell me what you want."

"Stiles was involved in an incident at the mechanic's garage and his jeep is being impounded and he's asking for you."

"I'll be there in 20 minutes." I hang up the phone and crawl out of my bed, surprised to find it empty. I shrug it off, figuring Derek is just out taunting Scott. I slip on some leggings under Derek's shirt I'm wearing. I throw on some sneakers and tie my hair in a messy bun as I leave my bedroom in search of Isaac and Boyd. "Boys!"

"Basement!" Isaac's voice fills the house. I quickly walk to the basement, finding them sat on a couch while watching a movie.

"Hey, I need to go out and help Stiles. He was in some sort of incident at the mechanic's. Derek's not back yet either. Are you guys good here alone or do you wanna come with?"

"We're definitely gonna stay home and have a party." Isaac jokes.

"As long as you clean up after yourselves." I grin. "I'll be back soon. Don't leave and don't let anyone in. Understand?"

"Yes Mom." Isaac rolls his eyes.

"Boyd, you keep him in line, alright? Don't be afraid to whack him upside the head if need be."

"I will, Mrs. Hale." Boyd shyly grins.

"Boyd, Sweetheart, you can call me Lyrica. I'm not just your teacher anymore. You're in my pack. We're family."

"Okay, Lyrica." Boyd smiles again and I leave, stopping at a store to get some snacks for Stiles.

I sigh when I pull into the parking lot of the mechanic's, the flashing lights illuminating the whole street. I leave the impala running so it'll be warm, and exit the car, in search of Stiles or the sheriff.

"Lyrica!" I turn at the sound of my name, finding Stiles sat in the back of an ambulance with his father beside him. I rush over and Stiles stands, slightly shaking as I hug him.

"Jesus Sti, you're freezing." I sigh, rubbing his arms. "The impala's running and the heat is on full blast. Go wait for me in there. And help yourself to the snacks and drinks on the passenger seat. All for you."

"Thank you, Lyrica." He shivers, running through the rain to get to my car.

"Lyrica, thank you for this." I roll my eyes as I turn to face the sheriff.

"For the millionth time, Noah. He's my brother. It's my job to protect him."

"But you've only known him for a few months."

"He's blood, Noah. He's the only blood I have left aside from my shithead mother. I'm not leaving him. He's staying with me for the night. He'll be home tomorrow." I don't wait for a reply, turning on my heel to go back to my car.

As I climb into the warm car, I turn to look at Stiles. I can't help but laugh at the sight of him with at least 5 AirHead Extremes hanging out of his mouth.

"You're staying with me and the boys tonight." I chuckle, starting the car.

"Which boys?" Stiles' voice is weary as he speaks through a mouthful of candy.

"Derek, Isaac, and Boyd." I shrug. "And before you say anything, it's either this or alone at home to relive the events you witnessed tonight. Plus, you need to get more accustomed to Derek and Isaac. And most likely Boyd."

"Why?"

"Stop whining. They're your family, like it or not. Derek's your brother in law, and Isaac is your nephew. I don't plan on leaving any time soon, so neither are they. Get used to them."

"Do I have to?" Stiles once again whines and I sigh.

"Yes, Stiles."

"Do you have any idea when I'll get my car back?"

"Couple weeks, tops." I shrug, driving out of the cramped parking lot. "But I can easily give you a lift to school until then."

"Won't we be cramped with us and Isaac?"

"He's a fugitive, remember? No school for him until he's pardoned."

"Oh yeah." Stiles chuckles. "Lyrica, where's Derek?"

"He's with Scott right now. They were watching us from the rooftop of the garage. He'll definitely be home after us so it'll be us and Isaac and Boyd for a while."

"Why were they there?"

"Because of the creature that tried to kill you tonight."

"Lyrica?" Stiles' voice is just above a whisper and I hear his heart rate increase.

"What's up, Stiles? Your heart is racing."

"I don't think it was trying to kill me."

"What do you mean by that? It paralyzed you from the neck down, Stiles. It definitely wanted to kill you." I protest.

"It paralyzed me by putting something on the doorknob. I had to watch it kill that mechanic, Lyrica. I sat there, helpless, as he screamed for help and got crushed under my car. I had to watch it all. I saw the thing. It was horrifying."

"What did it look like?" I ask, briefly glancing at my brother. "If you don't mind me asking."

"It looked like a freaking lizard." Stiles exclaims, throwing his hands up in the air. "Its skin was like freaking scales, it had razor sharp teeth, it had these talon like claws that were disgusting and dripping some clear ooze and oh yeah! It had a freaking tail!"

"If it's that terrifying, why don't you think it was trying to kill you?"

"Because!" He exclaims once more. "It-it you know when you-like- see a friend in a Halloween mask, but all you can actually see are their eyes, and you feel like you know them, but you can't seem to figure out who it is?"

"Are you saying you know who it is?" I ask as I pull into my driveway.

"No. But I think it knew me."
