Alright, to start this off, I'm so freaking sorry that it's been so long since the last update. I once again got distracted with other unpublished stories, and band started up and things have been crazy in my life lately. However, things have finally calmed down and I have some good news. I finally decided on an updating schedule, and it's posted on my account. Mama Hale will be updated every Thursday, and if I miss an update, it will be made up that weekend. I plan on keeping as close to schedule as possible for you guys, because I know my updating is crazy and unplanned. Once again, sorry this update took so long, and I apologize for this long-ass author's note. Also, the song is random. It's just what happened to be playing while I wrote this. Enjoy the new chapter.

-Recap-

"If you ever see that omega around Isaac again..." I start. "You get Isaac to safety first. And if I find out you didn't, I will make you wish you were never born."

"Yes, Lyrica." He mutters, but I hear his heart rate speed up.

(Lyrica's P.O.V.)

-The Next Morning-

I wake up just before my alarm and get a quick shower before dressing in a simple green designed dress, black tights, black ankle boots, and I grab my black leather jacket. I wake Derek up to tell him that I'm leaving, and go to make sure Isaac is ready to go to the graveyard. I enter his room to find him struggling with the bandages around his waist. I chuckle and take the bandage from him.

"Let me do it." I say, adjusting the bandages and taping them down properly.

"How did you learn to do this?" Isaac asks, wincing.

"You seem to forget, Kiddo." I sigh. "I took care of my younger brother for his whole life. There's also the fact that I was only ten when Hunter was born. So I dealt with the abuse for 14 years and Hunter dealt with it for 4. And when I got us our house, he was always getting bruises and scrapes."

"Mom?" Isaac whispers, lowering his shirt.

"Yeah, Kiddo?" I ask.

"Will you tell me more about him?" Isaac asks, somewhat fearfully.

"One day." I sadly smile. "But for now, let's get you to the graveyard and then to school. You have lacrosse practice this morning.

"Alright." Isaac sighs, grabs his bags, and we leave.

I drive to the graveyard, and there's police cars everywhere along with cops walking around. Isaac and I exit the impala and walk up to Isaac's boss, the owner of the cemetery. (Pretend it's not Isaac's dad, just some dude who is a total fucking douche nozzle.) The Sheriff is already speaking to him when we walk up, making our presence known.

"Hi, Isaac. Hi, Lyrica. No Derek?" My biological father asks and I refrain from rolling my eyes.

"I'm afraid my husband isn't too keen on being around the man who wrongfully accused him of murdering his own sister." I snap. "And frankly, neither am I. So let's get this dealt with as soon as possible. Isaac and I have places to be."

"Of course. I just have some routine questions to ask, so bare with me. What's your last name?" He directs the end at Isaac.

"It's Hale. Isaac Hale." Isaac quietly replies.

"Your parents are cool with you working here, Isaac?" Sheriff questions while Isaac looks down, kicking the dirt.

"When he's not in school." I answer, seeing that he's uncomfortable.

"Which is where he needs to be in 20 minutes." Isaac's boss, (Idfk, let's call him Mitch.) Mitch, says.

"Yeah, I understand that." Sheriff angrily replies. "But I've got a missing teenage girl, and our k-9 unit led us here. She's not wearing any clothes, and if she's out here tonight, and the temperature really drops..."
