Hello! I know that I was supposed to update on Friday, but the football game got delayed because of rain and by the time I got home, it was well past midnight and I was exhausted. I didn't have school today, so here's your update. I'll try to update again before the weekend because on Friday, I have a pep rally for Homecoming and then the Homecoming football game is that night. Then we have Homecoming on Saturday. Also, if anybody is trying to write a story and wants help with grammar, the story line, or just wants it proofread, I'm more than glad to help. You can just DM me or message me on my board. Anyway, that should be all, and enjoy the chapter!
-Recap-
"Allison Argent!" I say, scaring her. "The bell has rung, since this is your first tardy, I won't count it. Get in here."
"Thank you, Mrs. Hale." She says, closing her locker before rushing into the room and to her seat.
(Lyrica's P.O.V.)
I'm on my way to the teacher's lounge to get more coffee, when I hear Scott and Stiles.
"Come here." Stiles says, pulling Scott towards a stairwell.
"What?" Scott asks.
"Tell me what they're saying." Stiles says, pointing to the cops, who are speaking to the principal. Scott stares, trying to listen. "Can you hear them?"
"I want everyone under the age of eighteen to be in their homes by 9:30 p.m. We'd like to institute the curfew, effective immediately." The Sheriff says.
"Curfew, because of the body." Scott says.
"Unbelievable." Stiles exclaims. "My dad's out looking for a rabid animal, while the jerk-off who actually killed the girl is just hanging out, doing whatever he wants."
"Well you can't exactly tell your dad the truth about Derek." Scott argues.
"I can do something."
"Like what?"
"Find the other half of the body." Stiles fires back.
"Are you kidding?"
I quickly refill my cup before going back to my classroom. I pull out my phone, relieved that I have the next couple periods free. I dial Derek's number, hearing his voice answer the phone on the third ring.
"What's up?" He asks.
"Scott and Stiles are trying to find Laura's body. They think you killed her and they want you arrested. Scott is probably heading to your old house soon. He found out that you took Allison home after that party. He's not gonna be happy." I say as fast as possible.
"Calm down. Everything will be okay." Derek says. "They won't find her and they have no proof that I killed her."
"But what if they do find her? And what if they find a way to accuse you of killing her?" I ask, scared for my mates safety.
"Then they'll let me go as soon as they ID her and examine her. Because I'm pretty sure that there's hairs from the alpha on her." He soothingly says.
"Just please be careful." I say.
"You know I will be." He says. "I've gotta go. I hear Scott coming up."
"Okay. Love you."
"Love you too." Derek says before ending the call.

(Derek's P.O.V.)
"DEREK!" Scott shouts, throwing his bike on the ground. "DEREK!"
He throws the rest of his stuff down before sniffing the air, looking towards where Lyrica and I buried Laura. Scott looks over and sees me standing on the porch of my old home.
"Stay away from her! She doesn't know anything!" He shouts as I walk towards him.
"Yeah?" I ask, jumping off the porch. "What if she does? You think your little buddy Stiles can just Google werewolves, and now you got all the answers, is that it? You don't get it yet, Scott, but I'm looking out for you. Think about what could happen. You're out on the field, the aggression takes over, and you shift in front of everyone." I pick up his lacrosse stick. "Your mom, all your friends. And when they see you..."
I flick out my claws, tearing them through the net of his lacrosse stick.
"Everything falls apart." I throw his stick into the air before disappearing again.

I lightly knock on the door frame of Lyrica's classroom, gaining her attention.
"Oh thank God." She says before walking over and wrapping her arms around my neck, trapping me in a hug. I laugh, wrapping my arms around her waist.
"It's okay. I'm okay." I say.
"Shut up." She mutters. "I was terrified."
"Well everything is fine." I chuckle.
"What's going on?" Isaac asks. "Why was Mom terrified?"
"We'll explain when we get home." Lyrica says. "Actually, Derek can explain. I'm gonna drop you two off at the Hale House to get the Camaro while I go grocery shopping."
"Okay." Isaac shrugs, painfully standing from his sitting position.
He limps over to us, pain evident on his face. Lyrica wraps his arm around her shoulders, giving him something to act as a crutch while he walks. We make it to the Impala, and Lyrica sets Isaac in the back before getting in the passenger's seat. I get into the driver's seat, starting the car after buckling my seat belt. I pull out of the school parking lot, heading towards the Beacon Hills Preserve. Soon enough, I pull the car to a stop beside my Camaro, killing the engine as the three of us get out of the car. Isaac limps over and sits on the hood of the Camaro, propping his leg up. I walk over and stand beside Lyrica.
"Get home as soon as possible, please." She says, looking up at me. "Sit on the couch with him, watch some T.V., ya know, do some guy stuff together. Also, make sure he takes the brace off and ices and raises his ankle."
"I know, Lyrica." I say with a chuckle. "He'll be fine. Just go do what you need to do, and we'll be safe and sound at home by the time you're done."
"Okay." She says, wrapping her arms around me. "I love you, and be safe."
"We will. Love you, and be careful." I say before we go our separate ways.
Lyrica gets in her car and leaves, meaning that Isaac and I are now alone. I turn to him, seeing him staring at the charred remains of my old home.
"What happened?" He asks. "And why did Mum call it the Old Hale House?"
"I used to live here." I say, looking at the house. "I was about your age when my older sister and I were at school. We came home, only to find our home and family burnt to a crisp."
"Who did it?" He asks, looking at me.
"Hunters." I reply. "Argents, to be exact. There were people in my family that were totally normal. The hunters say that they only kill adults. And only with good reason. My little sister, my mother, my uncle, my cousins. All dead."
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked." Isaac says, hanging his head. "It wasn't any of my business."
"Isaac, look at me." I say, turning to face him. He looks up at me. "It's okay that you asked. In fact, I'm glad you asked. You may not be a werewolf, but you are in our pack, and you are in our family."
"Thanks, Der." Isaac says.
"You're welcome, Kid. Now let's head home before Lyrica kills us." I say, making him laugh.
Edit: May 8, 2020. I'm considering killing my best friend.
