IMPORTANT AUTHOR'S NOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few things to begin with. This story is going to wrapping up soon. While that sucks, the good thing is that this is going to turn into a trilogy! The second story will be published after this one is finished and edited. I'm planning on ending this story in 15 chapters, max. Also, in case you haven't noticed, I posted a new story with a bunch of different drafts I had typed up for fanfictions. There's quite a few Derek Hale ones, so please go check them out. I spent hours getting everything set up, and I hope everything works well. Here's your chapter.

-Recap-

"Alright Buddy, I'm gonna run and it's gonna be fast, but I won't drop you, okay?"

"Okay, Sissy."

(Lyrica's P.O.V.)

Hunter falls asleep in my arms as I run, and I see the sun coming up. I reach the school just in time to see Isaac and Scott carrying Cora and Boyd out of the building. I run up to them and their eyes widen at the sight of Hunter in my arms.

"Come on. Get them in the back of the camaro. Isaac, you'll have to sit in the back with them. Where's Derek?" I say, using my free arm to help Scott with Boyd.

"There was a teacher in the boiler room. She's safe but Derek is getting her out." Scott says.

"Alright." I nod my head and help them load the unconscious betas into the backseat. Isaac climbs in with them and I carefully place Hunter in the passenger's seat. After I set him down, I move to go find Derek, but he's already limping out of the school. "Oh my God!" I shout, running up to him.

"I'm alright." He pants as I frantically check his injuries. "Just a little torn up."

"Come on. Gimme your keys. Hunter, Boyd, Cora, and Isaac are already in the car. Hunter is gonna have to either be in you lap or in the middle. I'm driving." I help him to the car as I speak, and his eyes widen when they land on Hunter.

Once Derek is situated in the car and the keys are in my hand, I turn to face Argent and Scott.

"Thank you. Really. I don't know what we would have done without you two." I sigh.

"You're welcome, Lyrica." Argent nods. "Now go take care of your pack."

After one last "thank you", I go back to the car where everyone but Derek is either unconscious or asleep. The ride home is silent, filled with steady breathing and the occasional words spoken between me and Derek.

"Alright, put Hunter on the love seat. I'll wake Isaac and bring Boyd and Cora to the other couches." Derek nods at my words and gingerly carries Hunter into the house.

"Want me to get Boyd?" Isaac's tired voice sounds from behind me.

"No, I'll get him. You get Cora and let me check you over real quick. Then you can go to sleep."

"Alright." Isaac yawns but pulls the teen out of the car, carrying her into the house. I do the same with Boyd, and we set them both on the couches.

"Isaac, jacket and scarf off. Derek, toss the shirt." I say, moving to get the first aid kit from the bathroom. I hear shuffling and assume they're doing as I said. When I return, Isaac is leaning against the counter and Derek is sat on one of the stools.

Isaac doesn't have any injuries aside from a couple quickly healing bruises. I send him to bed and work on cleaning Derek's numerous cuts.

"You know you don't have to patch us all up, right? We'll heal just fine." Derek says, wincing as I apply alcohol to a deeper cut.
