The room was crowded, people jumped up and down and bumped into me from every side. The before colorful lights changed to a bright white light that flickered and made it look like everything moved in slow motion.

I looked for my friend Yujin but couldn't find her anywhere near me. The lights made it hard for me to move so I leaned against the black wall behind me. It felt damp and sticky. I closed my eyes and felt how the shots Yujin and I just did kicked in. Then I suddenly had the feeling that someone was standing in front of me.

"Are you alright, girl?", a deep but friendly male voice asked.

I opened my eyes but couldn't see clearly. I just saw the frame of a man much taller than me.

"I am.", I said with an annoyed tone in my voice.

As soon as I looked at him properly, I could see his face clearer. He smiled and two dimples appeared on his face.

"You sure?", he asked, still smiling.

I looked around and although the weird flickering lights changed back to the normal ones again, I still couldn't spot Yujin. I decided to tell the guy. Maybe he could help me out.

"I lost my friend.", I said.

"You have me now." He smiled even more now and his eyes got small.

I didn't know if he was being nice or cocky. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.

"Hey! I'm just kidding. Have you texted her?"

"I have no battery left.", I sighed.

He signed me to follow him and so I did. After a while, we reached the exit. As I got to the fresh air I immediately felt better. It was probably a better idea to wait for Yun outside than in the crowded and dark inside. The guy stood beside an ashtray and pulled a cigarette out of his jacket.

"You want one?"

I shook my head. "I don't smoke."

"Good.", he said as he lit the cigarette between his lips and deeply inhaled before breathing out a big cloud of smoke.

I crossed my arms and tapped around a bit.

"Are you cold?", he asked.

"No... I just want to go home but I have to wait for my friend." I let out a deep sigh. It was typical for Yujin to be like that.

"Why so?"

"I wanted to stay over at hers, I'm living too far away."

"Should I give you a ride?", he asked with a grin on his face.

I didn't know how to react and also couldn't tell if he was being serious.

"Didn't you drink?"

"No, I didn't drink. I was on my way to get home before I saw you anyways. So..."

"I don't know... I think my friend will be upset.", I tried to talk myself out somehow.

"You don't think the reason why you can't find her is that she's in there making out with some guy? She won't be mad. Just write her a text from my phone."

It was not like he was wrong with what he just said, but I shouldn't trust people I just met. Nevertheless, this guy had something trustworthy about him. Also, I was too tired and drunk at that moment to make any right decisions. So why not?

"Okay, let's go."
