In The Hospital

Chapter 1:

Tris lies in the hospital bed pregnant with Tobias and Tris' baby girl.

"Okay, Ms. Eaton you need to push!" says the nurse. Tris begins to push, clutching Tobias' hand. "Owwwww!!!!" yells Tobias as Tris crushes his hand.

"Shut up! I am in EVEN more pain!" snaps Tris. Tobias bites his lip, resisting the urge to talk back. "A few more pushes!" says the doctor that walked in after Tobias yelled. "Great! I can see the head!" says the doctor.

Uriah stands by the bedside next to his wife, Marlene who is pregnant with their daughter, Mariah. "Yeaahhhh!!!!" yells Uriah as he cheers Tris on. Tobias smiles. Right after the last push, you could hear crying.

"It's a girl!' shouts the doctor. Uriah, Marlene, Zeke, and Shauna all begin to whoop. Christina and Will couldn't be there because they were picking up their son from school, William. Tris begins to cry, and Tobias passes out.

The doctor wraps the baby girl in a black and pink baby blanket, and hands the baby to Tris. Tris' face glows with joy. And sweat. She holds the baby in her arms and kisses her on the cheek. She has the brightest blue eyes.

Zeke walks over to Tobias, and begins to slap him in the face repeatedly. Marlene walks over and says, "Ohhh!!! Can I hold her? Please!!" she jumps with glee.

"Of course you can." Tris says as she smiles. Tris hands the baby to Marlene and Marlene squeals with joy. "Hi baby Natalie!" says Marlene. "Natalie?" retorts Caleb.

"Yeah! Got a problem?" says Uriah as he gets in Caleb's face. "No! It's just that... it was my Mom's-" Uriah interrupts Caleb. "So? That's your niece and you're already shaming her because of her name? What if her name was...Karen? Would you have thought differently?" Uriah says as he pokes Caleb in the chest.

"Well why would she name her after my Mom, who is dead? I don't want to call her by a name that I will grieve forever!" says Caleb. Tris has a hurt look in her eyes. "I thought you would love that name....." says Tris.

Zeke is still trying to wake up Tobias. "It's been two years! Get over it! You didn't even see her die! Tris did, and she had to watch it! All you did was sit in a basement, so stop whining! Natalie is a new person, a new adventure! And if you can't recognize that, then maybe you don't deserve to be here!" yells Uriah.

"Okay, that's enough!" says Marlene. Uriah backs away from Caleb and Tris begins to cry. Caleb rushes out of the room and slams the door.

Shauna walks over to Tris with tissues and wipes her tears. "Hi! We're here!" says Christina as she opens the door. "I just saw Caleb stomping down the hall, is everything okay?" she stares at everybody with a questioned look on her face.

"Tris, are you okay?" she walks over to Tris as Will and William walk over. William is now a year old. "Hey Tris, William picked out a balloon for you. What's wrong?" says Will. Marlene picks up William. "Caleb was being a jerk." Tris says between sobs.

"What did he say?" says Christina. "He hates Natalie, and he doesn't even know her!" Tris says. "Oh, I see. So he doesn't like her because you named her after your Mom?" says Will. "Exactly!" yells Uriah.

"WHHOO-WAAAAHHH?!?" yells Tobias as he jumps off the floor. "Wooo! Finnally got him up!" says Zeke. Tobias looks wildly around the room and a pink and black blanket catches his eye.

"NATALIE!!!" Tobias yells as he snatches Natalie from Marlene. "My baby!" hisses Tobias. Everybody starts laughing. Except Tris.

"What's wrong?" says Tobias as he walks over to her. "Do I have to explain again?" she says as Shauna wipes Tris' tears. "You pass out, you miss everything." says Zeke. "My cheeks hurt..." says Tobias.

Zeke whistles innocently. "Christina, will you explain to my husband what happened!?" says Tris. Christina nods, and Uriah takes Natalie out of Tobias' arms. Christina drags Tobias into the hall.

"Caleb had something to say about Natalie, and it wasn't very nice." says Christina. Tobias clutches his fists and says, "What did he say?" through clenched teeth. "Ummm.....well he hates Natalie now because of her.....name."

Tobias completely looses it. "I'm so FED UP WITH HIM! HE ALMOST GOT MY WIFE KILLED, AND I'VE NEVER LIKED HIM!!!" Christina grabs his arms with a tight grip and says, "Hey we're all ticked off at him, but we need to just keep it under control."

All of a sudden, Caleb comes walking down the hall, and Christina sees him before Tobias does. "You JERK!!!!" she says and jumps on him. Caleb starts screaming. Christina starts punching him in the stomach and Tobias starts to pry Christina off of Caleb.

"Enough, Enough!!!" he yells. "No! He hurt my best friend!" she yells as she squirms in Tobias' arms. "STOP! Christina, let him just go off and be his miserable self." Tobias says as he sets down Christina.

"This is not over!" yells Christina as Tobias stuffs her back into the hospital room. "Why do you hate Natalie!?" says Tobias. "I don't..she just reminds me of my Mom. I don't want her as a constant reminder of my Mother's death!" says Caleb.

"This is just ridiculous! She is a baby! She is apart of your sister! There will always be constant reminders of her death! Your memories of her will be constant reminders! But, Natalie is just another name! She is not your mother! She is your niece! My name connects me to my father! I hated him! My name is a constant reminder of why I hated him! But it's still my name! That's why I wanted to be called Four! Because It made me feel like I didn't belong to him! I didn't want to! But Natalie is my daughter and if you don't want to be around her because of her name, then leave!" says Tobias.

Tobias leaves Caleb out in the hallway, and walks into the hospital room. Tris is sitting up and laughing. So is everyone else.

"So, I guess I took care of that." says Tobias. Christina is sitting in a chair holding Natalie. "I guess I never congratulated you for giving birth to our daughter..." says Tobias. He walks over and begins to kiss Tris.

Christina and Uriah start to make gagging noises. The doctor walks in. "Mr. and Mrs. Eaton, we need to see Natalie." says the doctor.

"Why?" says Tris. Christina looks up. "We just need to check for any kind of sickness or disease she could have." says the doctor. Christina hands him Natalie.

"Okay..." says Tris. The doctor walks away with Natalie.

Okay, you are probably wondering why all of a sudden they had to take Natalie away. Good news! You won't find out until she's twelve! Sorry! Don't worry though! You only have to wait a few more chapters! So, you'll find out in later on- I am going to try and keep updating it everyday, so hold on Chapter Two is coming!
