The Beach

Walking on the beach
With your hand in mine
Not a worry in the world.

The beautiful beach,
The relaxing sound of waves
Rolling onto the shore,
The singing of birds
Singing their midnight melody.

The sand still hot from when the sun was out
And the wind blowing through our hair.

Just me and you
Nothing else
But us
Together,
Forever.

But we stopped walking,
You removed your hand from mine,
And now we have worries.

The beach turned dark,
The waves turned violent,
The birds stopped singing,
The sand turned cold,
And the wind changed direction.

It was no longer me and you.
Everything was ruined,
from the storm we couldn't survive

Now,
Its nothing but me and you,
Apart,
Forever.
