That if we just didn't talk
For a few days
Everything would've been okay?
I think it might've.
I think we would've been okay.
I think we could've done it.
I think we could still be together,
If we did.
But we didn't.
You broke up with me
And yet
We kept talking
As if nothing was wrong,
Until one day
You changed
Out of nowhere.
You didn't seem interested in the conversation.
Maybe it's because
You realized
That I wasn't going anywhere.
Maybe you knew
That you got me right where you wanted me,
And I was hooked to you.
You were my drug,
And the lies you feed me
Kept the fire inside me alive.
How stupid was I
To believe
That you still loved me,
When obviously you didn't,
You hadn't for a while.
Maybe,
If we took a real break,
One with no contact,
You would've realized
How much
You loved me,
But I honestly can't tell
If you loved me at all,
And I still can't tell
What you lied about,
And what you didn't lie about.
Maybe, you lied about everything.
I think
You just might've.
