Dan's POV

I walked out of Phil Lester's hospital room, and oh god thank god I'm not in there right now.

Okay, so,  I'm gay or bisexual, not sure of that yet... but considering I had a kid with a girl I had a one night stand with drunk probably shows I'm bi. As even though my brain clearly wasn't functioning properly I slept with a girl so I'm going with bi.

And I know this is totally on all levels wrong but that Phil dude has amazing looks and quite clearly a good person, he has me in that weird crush stage of infatuation, like high-school slightly, when you saw your crush walk in the room.

I'm not meant to bring Lucy to the patients rooms, but I kind of want to see if she likes him and he likes her, you know, just in case in the next few days, he falls madly in love with me. I could have my hopes right?

Anyway Lucy.

I was at the hospital nursery now and I picked up her little 'my little pony' bag and her coat off the pegs outside her room.

I looked through the window, trying to find my Lucy, without interrupting her playing.

I found her near the train set, however she wasn't playing with the trains, she had a small rattle that she was shaking ferociously. Her smile was the biggest smile I had ever seen. She was 100% my favourite human. She was adorable!

I opened the door and spoke to the nursery nurse about how she had been. Then I walked up to her.

"Hey Lucy, daddy is back!" I said as I picked her up from the floor and she dropped her rattle.

Her beautiful blue eyes looked up at my face and she smiled. I love this child so much.

I walked back to Phil's hospital room as I rocked Lucy in my arms and sang to her quietly.

Eventually I found Phil's room again. I knocked on the door and he said, "come in"

And I did. His face lit up when he saw Lucy. And Lucy smiled back at the black haired man with a quiff.

"Can I hold her?" Phil asked in a hushed voice, so not to startle Lucy.

" are you sure you can, you have hurt your arm pretty bad"

"Yeah, it should be fine, and plus you are a doctor and you can fix me right up if anything does happen" Phil giggled at the end part.

I passed her over to Phil and, even though it seemed impossible, his smile grew.

"You are the first person I have let hold her, other than the girl in the nursery, but only by demand, so technically you are the only person I have wanted to allow to hold her"

"Really? Thank you for letting me hold her!"

"Yeah, and no problem, she likes you more than she likes me anyway!" I laughed.

"Come on that's not true!"

"Well I guess, but I think she misses her mother a bit"

"Why, where is her mum, if you don't mind me asking" he queried.

"Urm... when Lucy was two months old, her mum dropped her off at my doorstep with a note explaining she was mine, aswell as a suicide note to Lucy. She was found at her house hanging with a rope around her neck that was attached to the fan"

"Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss" Phil said while a tear drop cascaded down his cheek.

"I'm fine really, I didn't really know her, but it still gets to me a bit knowing Lucy will only have me to bring her up"

"I'm sure you will find someone who loves her as much as you do"

"I really hope so, but it's kinda hard to find a 26-30 year old male who would be completely fine with their boyfriend having a child who literally does not let anyone sleep within a 5 mile radius"

"Wait, a man?" Phil sounded really confused, but to be fair I do have a kid. I know I said I was bi earlier but I only want to be with a girl when I'm drunk so you know.

"Urm yeah, I know, it's confusing right, sorry about that"

"It's fine, I just kind I assumed you were straight or bi, considering you have a kid"

"Well, I thought I was gay but drunk me decided to hook up with a woman so..."

"Fair enough" Phil giggled. "Are you out yet?"

" yeah my family know, not so much my colleagues, I'm pretty sure one of the nurses has a thing for me aswell, and I wouldn't want to burst her bubble"

"I get it, I couldn't tell my friends or people at my workplace for a while, then I hooked up with the new technician assistant" Phil said calmly.

"Wait, are you..." Dan started.

"Gay, Yeah" Phil continued.

"Why do you have to be a patient oh god!"

"Well I mean, didn't mean to be but I won't be in a few days so I'll give you my number anyway, aww she's asleep"

"How the hell did you do that" I whispered.

"I don't know" Phil whispered back.

" I should put her in her car seat..."

Phil passed Lucy over to me and I put her in her car seat.

"So about that number" I said.

"Somebody is eager!" Phil giggled, "give me your phone, here is mine, mind the smashed screen, it was in a bag at the back of the car, and it got thrown around a bit..." Phil gave me his phone and I gave him mine.

We both added ourselves to each others contacts. Then we passed the phones back.

"Really, 'doctor daddy Dan'?" Phil chuckled.

"What! Get your mind out of the gutter! I am a doctor and a dad and my name is Dan!" I chuckled back.
