Dan's POV

They had been up there a while. I guess making up a dance takes a lot of time.

But food was almost ready. I had made burgers and chips.

"Phil!" I shouted. "Foods ready"

Then I heard two sets of feet run down the stairs.

Guess they were quite eager to eat...

Lucy walked into the kitchen and grabbed my hands. "Close your eyes" she giggled. I closed my eyes. "Okay now follow me" she said and then guides me somewhere. "Sit down and keep your eyes closed"

What the hell was this?

Phil's POV

Okay, I didn't think about this part at all.

I just kept on breathing in regular patters so my emotions wouldn't get too bad. Imagine me passing out before it happens and then when I wake up Dan will ask me why and then I'll be like... I was going to propose. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

I walked into the living room and stood in front of Dan.

Dan's POV

"Okay you can open your eyes" someone said. This time it wasn't Lucy but the voice of Phil.

So I opened my eyes and saw Phil stood in front of me. He looked scared so I smiled.

He smiled back and let out a deep breath.

He got down on one knee and held my hand. Was he proposing? My heart started beating at 100 mph.

"Dan" he started, " Sometimes I wonder about the universe and how crazy it all is and feel overwhelmed, but I feel the exact same when I think about my love for you.

Sometimes I feel like everything is too much but then I think of your laugh and I keep it on repeat in my mind to guide me out of that dark place.

Sometimes I think about society and discrimination but then I think of you and I feel fine with it just being me and you against the world but also makes me feel annoyed at others who believe that our love is not natural but the truth is I love you with every ounce of love I have in my body.

I never thought I would be able to trust anyone again but then I trust you entirely.

You don't judge me and I thank you for that. Many people have overstepped the boundaries it's me and made me feel awful about myself and go into panic whenever I think about it. I know you won't get hurt me, physically and emotionally. 

So Dan..." he said while fumbling around his pocket and finally pulled out a small black box. Oh my god. This was actually happening. Oh my god.

He opened the box to show a silver ring with a few diamonds in it I think. He let out a deep breath. "Will you marry me?"

I don't think I had ever smiled more. But I also started to cry. I was nodding vigorously and repeating the word "yes" and I wrapped my arms around his neck. "I love you so much"  I cried out before kissing him. I hugged him again and Lucy ran up to us and hugged us both. The impact knocked us all over and we lay there on the floor for a while just giggling.
