PJ's POV (Other universe PoV, kinda obvious because the other is a bit dead)

I was about to FaceTime Chris, not my world Chris but the other universe Chris. I had been give a slight debrief of the situation that he has. I know that he loved other universe me that loved other universe Phil and then other universe me died in a car crash just over 25 years ago, which is a bit insane when I think about it.

I was about to press the call button when this universe Chris entered the room.

"Hey Chris, how you doing mate?" I said to him smiling.

"Just lovely, thanks. What you doing?" He said, sitting down next to me.

"I'm about to call other universe you actually. Other universe me died like 25 or so years ago and he was in love with other me and is still really messed up by the death"

"Right then, sounds cheerful" he chuckled, "have fun with that, I'm gonna find Dan" he said and walked out of the room.

I pressed the call button and it rang twice before anyone answered.

A young boys face appeared on the screen. "Hey, you must be PJ, I've seen your face before, I'll pass you to my dad"

"Oh okay, thanks... who is your dad?" I asked sheepishly.

"Oh well there is Dan and Phil but I'm passing you to Phil, there you go" he said and passed the phone over to Phil. I didn't really know what I expected but this man almost looked identical to Phil. If it wasn't for the streaks of grey in his hair or a few wrinkles I would think it was the man who let me into his apartment.

The second the man seemed to realise what was going on he looked at me and I could see tears beginning to form. I opened my mouth to speak when he quickly interrupted.

"Please don't speak, I need a minute. Sorry this is really just quite emotional for me" I just nodded and smiled.

After about 30 seconds Phil spoke once again. "Okay I'm good. Hi, I'm Phil if you didn't know already and I'm married to my Dan and we have technically 3 kids kind of. We have Lucy, who is like almost 26 who I've raised since she was a baby when I first met dan because she's his biological kid. Then we have Evan who you have met already, he's the one that answered the phone, we adopted him nearly a year ago and then a few months ago we found out that Lucy had a twin called Sarah and we have brought her into our little family circle. We have a grandson who is Lucy's son, he's called Ben and he is almost 9 which is crazy. Sorry for the rambling it's just you, well my version of you was my... he was my best friend and he.. uh.. he..died before I even met Dan because of the...the crash... though you.. he did meet Dan because he was our doctor when we were both admitted to the hospital after the accident but Dan wasn't able to save him. This is crazy.. sorry" he said. I didn't really know what to say.

"It's okay, I get it. But hi, I'm other world PJ. It's really nice to meet you. Can I ask you something, it's fine if you don't want to or can't answer it but could you tell me what he, what I was like. I've always been curious to what other versions of me are like" I said smiling weakly.

"Yeah yeah, of course" he said wiping the tears from his cheeks and let out a small smile. "He was the most amazing and kind person I have ever known, well he was on the same level as Dan in that way. I was homeless for five years after escaping or being kicked out of my family home. I say escaped because I was abused"

"I'm so sorry about that" I said.

"Thank you, it's been a long time since then so I've been able to kind of put the memories behind me but it was a very traumatic experience... but anyway I was on the streets for 5 years when PJ found me and took me to get some food and a hot drink. I could never thank him enough for that. It truly meant so much to me but then over the time of the meal PJ had decided that he was going to take me in to his flat so I had somewhere to stay. I lived with him for many years. He was a bit of a loon but in his own little way, you know? He was always bringing new friends home and we would all play board games and he would sometimes be peer pressured into going clubbing with his friends which was hilarious for me when he got home drunk. He always confused me. Like one time he just brought a goldfish from like a fair in a plastic bag and we had to try and find something to put it in. He said he got it as a present for me because this particular goldfish had blue eyes like me and it reminded him of me" he chuckled.

"That definitely sounds like me, making rash decisions and making strange decisions" I laughed along with him.

We stayed on call for another 20 minutes until Phil passed the phone over to Chris.
