Chapter 7: Till We Meet...

I ran out of the room with my face covered in tears. My dress was soiled in Danny's blood and everything was slowly falling into place. I needed to figure out what Richard's up to. I dashed for the dining hall, the last place if seen everyone. "Maddie!" I heard my mother scream. I ran faster and slammed the door open. It was Maddie who was in trouble....

It was her doing the trouble! She tied Mother up in a chair and covered her mouth with a sash. "Goodness, Mom! You sure are annoying when you squirm." Maddie complained. "Maddie?" I called her name in complete shock. Maddie looked at me and frowned. "Jallerie-" She tried to think, and my heart dropped to my feet. Why did she want to make something up? She's tying up our mother for god sake! I stood my ground, clenching my fists. I couldn't hit my sister, I loved her too much. Then Richard came into view with a long silver sword. I need a break from all this confusion! "Where's your groom, Jae?" He asked eyeing me with a frown on his face. Then I lost it. "Your idiot replica of him killed Danny!" I yelled and tears fell onto my cheeks again. Maddie and Richard were both stunned. "You created monsters! And it killed your brother!" I cried. Remembering the sight of him lying dead on the ground made me intensely mad. "That Idiot." Richard sighed and threw the sword to the floor. Maddie was almost in tears. "Why are you crying!? You should be crying about our dear mother being tied up!" I yelled at Maddie. Maddie hesitated to reach for the rope, but Richard instantly pulled her back. "Killing Danny was step four in this plan, but it's earlier than I expected." Richard said. So he was planning Danny's death? That bastard! How could he? "But he's your brother!" I said. Richard shrugged his shoulders. "It's unfortunate. Now I have to commence step five before it's too late.." Richard pressed his hands into Maddie's neck, and she gasped for air. "Maddie!" I lunged at them, but Richard pulled her to the side strangling her even more. Then I was too late..Maddie fell to the ground with her face twisted in fear, her eyes wide open in fright. "Maddie-?" I watched as my sister lied there below his feet clasping onto her neck.

I managed to strike him in the face, and he fell onto the floor. Unfortunately, he landed by the sword, and grabbed a hold of it. "Ha, bad luck, Madame. You could've been my wife also." He smiled. I smiled back and placed my hands on my hips. "I can't be that attractive." I complained. It was really getting on my nerves. "Sorry, I don't marry pigs." I insulted him. Richard swung the blade at me, and I lunged backward. He managed to cut the lower half of my dress, exposing all of my right leg and half of my left leg. "Oh dear. I ruined your beautiful attire." Richard smiled. I frowned. He swung his sword to my head, and I ducked in time, letting him crash into a glass mirror. Glass fell in all directions, and one piece cut me on my face under my left eye. Not paying attention, I fell back on my rear. The sword was suddenly pulled to my face, and I froze. "One move and you die, just like your sister. But I'll let you call your handsome butler. I could use a worthy opponent." Richard was a monster. First cloning Danny, then killing him, and now forcing my family to danger. What was I gonna do? Then I called with all my heart Sebastian's name.

Sebastian POV:

At the same moment:

I slashed at a replica of Danny Wilde and it shattered into broken metal. These things are just too easy to break. This toy shattering scene was becoming a waste of time. "Oh dear," I said looking at my stopwatch. "Where is the Drowed family?" I stepped over the metal rubble which I had created and frowned. They should've been back by now. Maybe Claude has them, or Danny has gotten a hold of Jae! I felt heat pour inside me thinking of this. A clone dashed up to me with maximum speed,but I dodged the blow with ease. "Too slow." I called and as he soared over me, I kicked him powerfully in his torso. He hit the ceiling, fell onto the floor and was shattered instantly. "What a waste of time." I mumbled. Then I heard something. It sounded like Jae's voice, calling my name. I felt the urge to follow it, and I ran down the staircase and out the front door. I sped up to the sound of her voice. Jae, I am on my way.

I gasped for air from calling Sebastian's name. Richard kneeled down to me from behind and held me close. I was too weak from dodging his blows and screaming. Maybe that's what he wanted. "Poor dear. Having all this trouble on your hands. I don't think your butler will make it." I turned my head slowly at him. "What do you mean?" I asked. He smiled and placed his fingers under my chin raising my face to his. "I sent a little army of Danny to eliminate him." I looked at Richard and began to laugh. He looked offended and placed the sword under my neck. "Why are you laughing?" He asked. I calmed my laughter and sighed. "Those things are no match for Sebastian. Just you wait-" As I was talking, the glass window shattered into millions of pieces. I covered my face quickly, and Richard slid to the other side of the room. I opened my eyes and saw Sebastian covered in scratches. Did he fight all of the replicas? A smile was plastered on his face, and he eyed my dress. "My what happened to your dress, Madame?" He asked. I shrugged my shoulders. "Don't care." I said. Suddenly I heard gasping and coughing. I turned to the noise and found Maddie shivering and struggling to get up. "Maddie!" I called. I ran to Maddie's side and rubbed her back. "You're okay. You're okay, sister." I assured her and she looked at me with tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry, Jae. For what happened. Richard told me if I didn't do what he said, he would kill me. Although, It seems he has already killed his brother." Maddie rose to her feet. "Let's help Mother!" I said, and we began to untie her. While we were busy, Richard was wielding the blade at Sebastian but continued to miss each chance, until he managed to cut Sebastian on his torso, leaving a tear on his suit, and a wound on his chest. Sebastian wobbled backward and frowned. "My attire. How dreadful."
Richard laughed, "Worrying about your clothes at a time like this?" He swung the sword, his hair moving with his movements. "Sebastian, occupy him for a few minutes. No blood shed!" I ordered. "Yes, Madame Jae." He replied with a sigh. I guess he wanted to make them suffer, considering what they did to me.

I grabbed my mother and Maddie's hand and pulled them to the window. One at a time I helped them out of the building. Then as it was my turn, I was pulled back by Richard. I've had it. I gripped his collar tightly. "I've had enough!" I yelled at him. I smashed my forehead against his and released my grip. Richard lied helplessly on the ground, and I managed to finally climb out of the window. "Head to the manor! Now!" I called, and they ran through the swarm of trees.  "Sebastian!" I called. "Leave them be for now!" I began to run across the field as Sebastian jumped out of the window. He picked me up and carried me off. "You were handling things pretty well." He said. "Of course! I'm Jallerie Drowed. You should never forget." I said. Suddenly he stopped and sat me on the ground as he dropped to his knees beside me.

He cupped my face in his hands and tilted my head in many directions. "You're cut under your eye." Sebastian said with a worried look on his face. I moved his hands, blushing uncontrollably at his touch. "I'm fine, it's just a little scratch."
"Sorry, I do believe I was truly worried about you when you didn't return." He said. I smiled and petted his head, feeling his soft black hair. "I was worried too. But we'll meet them again. Trust me..." We stood to our feet. I leaped into his arms again, and we headed to the manor.
