León smiled at me. "Can you give me your name?"
I raised my index finger and shook my head. "Now Sir León, it's a masquerade ball. You should always guess the identity of your guests." León smiled at me. His shiny blonde hair was pulled back behind his left ear and I could finally see the other side of his mask. His hazel eyes shined brightly and his lips curved into a dashing smile. "Of course. Would you happen to be..." León raised his hand to his chin as of thinking. "You must be... Sir Anthony's sister?" He guessed terribly. I shook my head. "Too bad. Maybe you should think about it." I decided. León laughed and looks down at my dress. "Mm..what a splendid color." He said. "Why thank you." I replied.
"My brother loves to polish his gold statues."
"Really? I love the color gold."
"Then would you do me the honor of letting me take you to my brother's favorite statue room?" León asked and held out his right hand.
"I would be delighted." I took a hold of his hand and followed him down the hallway, leaving the ballroom. We came upon a beautiful red double door and he turned to me. "Are you ready to enter?"
"Yes indeed. Why wouldn't I?"
León smiled and turned the doorknob slowly. As the door opened León gently pushed me inside and closed the door. It was dark, so I held out my hands searching for somewhere to stop. I suddenly felt someone's hands grab my shoulders. "Calm down." It was León. "I'll just turn on the lights like so..."
The lights came on making my eyes wince from the brightness. "This is my brother's statue room." My vision came into focus, and I saw two rows of statues on both sides of the room. They were gold like he said, and I admired their beautiful glow. "Gorgeous." I said and walked down the aisle. León smiled and walked beside me. "I'm glad you like them." He said. "There is only one my brother would admire the most." I wasn't really listening to him. My attention was on all of the beautiful statutes. Beautiful woman wore pretty dresses and hats. They were all in certain positions such as courtesies, dancing, and some were standing tall. The statues were completely in polished gold and shimmered from the light. "Astounding." I called. I turned to León, who was standing next to a covered statue. A red blanket was covering the statue, and I stopped in my tracks. "This is my brother's favorite statue. I shouldn't be showing you this but-"
"León!" a sharp voice called from behind me, and I froze in my place. I knew that voice. I loathe it, as much as I could. "Claude?" I called and turned to the demon. He wore a nice blue suit with a black rose clipped to his breast pocket. "Hello, Madame Jae." He answered and came forward. He pushed his glasses from the edge of his nose and smiled. "Madame Jae!?" León asked. "Yes, that is my name." I replied without turning away from Claude. I was afraid that if I turn my back to him, I would regret it later. "Where's your Master?" I asked.
"He is quite busy at the moment. He is accompanying the ballroom guests at this moment."
Matilda! Maddie! Right when I leave them this happens. "Why aren't you with him?" I asked. "I was ordered to retrieve my Master's spouse and grand statue for the finale."
"Spouse?" I turned to León and frowned, but I knew he couldn't see because of my mask. León scratched his head and began to walk away from the statue. "Now?" He asked. Claude nodded. "I should be going as well, for I would love to admire the statue with everyone else." I decided and walked passed the demon. I quietly left the room. As I walked into the ballroom, I spotted Maddie and Matilda talking to other guests. I began to make my way through the crowd when suddenly I bumped into someone. "So sorry!" I cried. "No reason for apologies, Jae." I looked up and saw Sebastian smiling down at me. "Sebastian!"
"Jae, I'm very sorry for leaving your side. I was bombarded by women." Sebastian apologized. "It doesn't matter! We need to keep an-"
I was interrupted by the sound of music. Everyone's eyes were on the stage, and I saw León standing next to the same covered statue from the room. Master appeared behind the statue wearing all white and with an all white mask. "I'm so glad that you all made the masquerade ball!" Master exclaimed. "I'm sure you all have met my brother, Sir León." León bowed politely and everyone applauded. "Jae." Maddie called and ran up to my side with Matilda holding onto her dress. Looks like they were out of harms way, that's good. "I would like to thank you all by showing you my most precious unique statue." Master clenched the cloth that covered the statue and smiled devilishly. Sebastian's eyes narrowed as he closely eyed the display. The cloth was removed and everyone applauded happily. My face felt hot and my body grew numb. The statue was of me!
