We entered the pet shop and I quickly headed over to the black kitty from the window. It was leaning against the glass waiting for me to pick it up. "Hi there Sebastian." I whispered and nuzzled my nose against the kitties'. "Jae! Come on!" Maddie called me and I rolled my eyes. "I can't stay with you. I'll be back." I sat the kitty back in its pen and rubbed its head. "I promise." I walked towards the register counter with Maddie and Kirsten, as Sebastian blushed at the kittens. How adorable! "Hello?" Kirsten called. "He was just here, I promise you!" Kirsten began ringing the bell next to the register. Suddenly a man with black hair and a bright smile came behind the register. "Yes, what can I do for you?" He said with a grin. He seemed to remember Kirsten, for he nodded his head and sighed. "Ah, yes. You're here for Daniel." His face turned from happy to serious so quickly. "He was here moments before asking for directions." The man began shuffling through items under the counter. While no one was looking I began to stare at the black kitty who was eyeing me behind the glass patiently. His unique bushy tail swayed back and forth with his golden eyes watching me steadily. I raised my hand and blew a kiss to the adorable feline. Its paws pressed against the glass as if trying to retrieve the kiss. Awe! He likes me! I turned back to the register and there was a huge map on the counter. The owner began sliding his finger along the map searching for something. "Oh, my name is Gregory, by the way." He suddenly introduced himself. "I'm Maddie Drowed and this is my sister Jallerie Drowed. This is Madame Kirsten Milford. Thank you for helping us." Maddie introduced us with a big smile. "Nice to meet you all. What lovely women." Gregory finally stopped his finger on the map where an area was circled in red pen. "Here, I showed him this place." We all looked at the marked area. It was at a children's playground. "That's Chantane Park!" I said happily. I think I remembered that place. Where I first met Daniel after he saved me from those wretched girls. But why was he going specifically there? "Let's get going then-" Kirsten stopped in her tracks, and we turned to see what she was gawking at. I nearly laughed out loud. Black and ginger coated kittens were crawling and playing on Sebastian. They loved him so much! He blushed as a baby kitten licked his ear and rubbed against his neck. "Awe! They love you Sebastian!" Maddie said. She walked up to Sebastian and grabbed two kittens from his shoulders. "I wanna join." She said and cuddled with the two kittens. Sebastian grabbed a cat that was on his head. "How'd you get there?" He asked the cat and kissed it on the forehead. Whoa...I've never seen Sebastian like this. So carefree and lovely. It's almost like a whole new person. Suddenly everyone was with a feline friend, so I walked over to Sebastian number two. "I'm back!" I said and picked him up into my arms. "Like you promised!" I heard a voice and suddenly frowned. Did he just talk? I blinked a few times and looked around to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. "What's wrong?" He said again. "You can talk?" I asked. "Apparently only to you. I can talk to only people who love me." I smiled at this and shook my head. "This is amazing." The kitten placed its paws on my nose and meowed. "Please take me home with you! I'm lonely here." Its big, wide golden eyes pouted and I heard a quiet purr come from him. "Awe! I can't right now, I'm doing something very important. I'll buy you later okay?" I said and kissed the kitten on its nose. I placed him back in the pen and smiled at him. "Madame Jae, we must be going!" Kirsten called as everyone placed a kitten in a pen. Maddie and Kirsten left the shop leaving me and Sebastian behind. "Wait! We have to put the kittens up!" I failed calling them to a halt. A ginger kitten leaped from Sebastian's grasp and ran on the floor. "I got it." I said and picked up the adorable runaway. It purred in my hands and it's long skinny tail swayed back and forth. I placed it in a pen with the same ginger family and they all huddled into a soft fluffy ball. Awe.. I shook my head from forgetting the task and ran to Sebastian. "Let's catch up to Maddie and Miss Kirsten!" I called and grabbed his hand. I pulled him out of the shop and ran along the streets. I came to a stop and searched the sides of the streets. "Where'd they go?" I whined. Sebastian smiled at me. "What?" I asked and placed my hands on my hips. My hoop earrings dangled under my ears shining brightly from the sun. "You were talking to that black kitten." He replied and smiled. I blushed. I didn't think anyone heard me. Guess I was wrong. "Yeah, it kinda spoke to me. So we were just chatting." I felt my cheeks burn a little as I said this. "Really?" Sebastian asked, and I nodded in reply. "He said something about only people who truly love him can hear him speak. What does that mean?" I asked and searched the streets for Maddie, but couldn't find her close by. "Sounds like a familiar, but I don't get why only you could hear him." Sebastian said and thought for a moment. "Can we chat later? We need to catch up to Maddie and Kirsten!" I said. Sebastian smiled and picked me up. "Yes, Madame Jae." His tone sent chills up my spine, and he held me tightly. "Hold on, Jae." I wrapped my arms around his neck and held on as tightly as I could. Sebastian jumped onto a nearby building with one leap. "Wha-!" I held on for dear life. He leaped on a trail of rooftops, gliding through the air like it was nothing. I looked down at the view, and it was amazing. It was as if I were flying. "Wow." I said and watched as we jumped from roof to roof. I suddenly found a small park with a big tree about six feet wide. "That's it! Chantane Park!" I pointed to the huge tree and we headed to the park. Somehow this felt like a little puzzle to me. A scavenger hunt on finding Daniel.
