"Jae! This is my friend, Kirsten Milford." Maddie introduced a new face to me, and I smiled at the new visiter. Her skin was pure as snow, her long hair was curled in its blonde color, her eyes light green, and her dress was long and white with a red sash wrapped around her waist. I probably don't remember this girl since she and Maddie have always been with each other, and I've been with mom. Kirsten stepped into a courtesy and smiled. I nodded my head in reply, giving my respect to Miss Milford. "I'm told of staying in your manor for a few weeks. I hope you don't mind until I've found my proper husband to leave with me." I frowned but quickly shook my head at the thought. You can't possibly find your suitable man in just a mere few weeks. I thought of that as a joke and played along. "Of course! Your goal shall soon be fulfilled." I said. "The man you search for is somewhere." I stood from my desk and walked towards the window. I saw Sebastian as he instructed the gardeners in the yard. "You just have to keep your eyes peeled." I whispered. "What was that, Miss Jallerie?" Kirsten asked. I scowled at her, forgetting everything and softened my expression. "Please," I said walking towards Kirsten,"Call me Jae." I nodded my head, and she nodded back with a warm smile. I walked passed her and opened the door. "I will ask maiden Rose to help you settle in." I left the room with Kirsten tagging along and fortunately found Rose. She was sweeping the floor and dusting the framed portraits on the wall. "Rose, Miss Kirsten Milford is in need of assistance to her room." I said. Rose bowed deeply and lead Kirsten to her room. Maddie left the study and stood next to me in the hallway. "My, are you alright, Jae?" She asked. I forced a smile and twirled my finger in my right hoop earring, tracing the edges. Something about Miss Milford that gives me a bad feeling at the moment. "She's searching for her lover, she said?" I asked with the back of my hand covering my mouth, trying to keep my voice down. Maddie nodded. "Yes, her family will not accept her return without the new prince at her side." I placed my hands on my hips and tapped my right index finger against my waist.

How interesting.

"Are you going to tell Sebastian of her staying?" Maddie asked. "Why yes, but why interrupt his duties? I specifically told him to do a certain routine everyday, unless something comes up." I began to walk down the hallway to the main hall. My heels tapped to the rhythm of my steps, and I could hear my sister walking along behind. Maddie's head was hanging down as she stared at the floor with a blank look on her face. "What's the matter, Maddie?" I asked slowing my pace. "I just don't see why her parents would force her to marry someone so quickly. I did the same thing, but you know how that turned up." Maddie sighed and clenched her right hand over her left one tightly. "Don't worry." I said."There are plenty of wonderful men out there. You just chose the wrong one out of friendship." I smiled reaching my normal pace, leaving Maddie in a drown of thoughts. I opened my room door and found Sebastian wiping the windows. "Hmm. I thought you were helping with the garden?" I said. Sebastian turned to me and smiled. "The maidens were doing so well that I figured they didn't need my help any further." He rubbed a certain spot clean and threw the towel in a small bin. I shrugged my shoulders and sighed. "It appears we have a new guest staying for a few weeks,by the name of Kirsten Willow Milford. My sister's best friend." I noted and sat on my bed. "She is searching for a man of hers, a somewhat friend or past acquaintance. Possibly a stranger." I untied the ribbon around my neck as Sebastian grabbed a pair of new shoes from my closet. I crossed my right leg over the other and held my foot out at him. "We shall assist her for a while, but keep your eyes out. There's something about her I don't like at all." I remembered her smile and darling little face. Kirsten looked quite childish for a twenty eight year old woman. A woman with high cheek bones, a baby soft smile and a child like voice. "I order you to watch out for anything that comes your way." I ordered. Sebastian unzipped my boots and switched them with the new pair of heels from my closet. "She may be looking for her lover, but something tells me she's up to something." He gently placed my foot into the right sized heel and smirked.
