Dear you,
"Love is a not a four-lettered word, it's a four-lettered lie".Hello dear readers. I hope you are with your loved ones right now. If you are then put this journal entry down and go and hug them. It's fine I'll wait...Cherish every moment you have with them, because you never know about the future. (I sound like an old man)
Yesterday I went to L's house. I hadn't talked to her in TEN days. And for some reason, she didn't even attend college. Which is why I decided to ask if she was okay, as a sincere friend. Last time I talked to her, she referred to me as a stranger. My dad said girls just need time. What my dad doesn't know is that L is not like the others.
I knocked on her door and L opened it. She looked... different. She had dark circles and put her hair in an untidy bun. I noticed her piercings were gone and she wasn't dressed like she usually does. She just had an over sized shirt on.
"What are you doing here?", she asked straight away
"I'm here to ask how you feel. I came as a friend. Not like a... whatever the word is", I couldn't have made it more awkward
"I feel like shit. Done? Now leave"
"I brought your shirt. The one you forgot at my place?" I just needed a reason to keep the conversation going.
"I honestly don't give a damn"
"Don't do this L "
"Sorry don't know what you're talking about. Now bye". She didn't have to be that rude to me
"The shirt?", I asked one more time.
"Burn it". She slammed the door on my face
So, that's exactly what I did. I went home and lit the shirt on fire. I stood there and watched the fabric turn into ash. It was like I was burning all the past memories of L. I remembered the first time I saw her at the bus stand.
"Please you need to help me", her exact words. Well I guess it's time to move on. If only it was that easy.
---------------------------------------------------------
I know I ended the journal earlier, but something worthwhile just happened. Actually it may sound very dumb to some of you. (Most of you) Anyways, I was coming from my Grandma's house, with a hand made blanket she had given me for fixing her internet.
I parked my car because it was making a weird sound. When I was going back in I heard someone screaming from behind me. Now there is a place between my Grandma's house and my house, where crime is very active. So I did hesitate a bit.
I squinted and saw a girl running towards me with hands full of luggage. I stood there, like an idiot, thinking what I should do next.
"You need to help me sir". She was out of breath. I didn't ask anything else and we hurriedly sat in my car. I heard other cars from behind me, so I stepped on the gas while the girl said:
"Hurry up! They're bad people"
I drove faster than I have ever driven. Soon I had lost the cars behind me and we had taken refuge in a dark ally. It was like meeting L all over again.
"Who were they?" I asked her once my heartbeat was under control. And yes I did take a risk by giving a ride to a stranger
"Just some angry costumers. They'll get over it, don't worry". I noticed that she was wearing very limited clothing. She had a sparkling bra on and matching shorts with it. To top it all off she was wearing thigh high boots. I guess she looked pretty good.
"Can you please drop me off at my hostel?" She asked. She was very attractive, no wonder the people were after her. With jet black hair and hazel green eyes.
"Oh yeah sure. Which college is it?"
"Hahaha you're so cute. I don't do college. I'm a stripper". What are the odds? I run into a stripper in the middle of the night.
"Woah. I mean... I'm sorry I just"
"There is nothing wrong with being curious. Now ask me any question. I'm an open book"
"Ummm do you not get cold?"
"Oh yes, all the time. I'm freezing right now". I took the blanket my Grandma gave me and gave it to her. she covered herself with it while we started driving towards her hostel.
"You're very nice. Now tell me a fine boy like you can't be single right?", she asked
"Oh no. We just broke up"
"Awww. I remember when I first broke up. Oh man! I cheated on him"
"I'm so sorry. wait what?".
"With his brother. Yes I know i'm a bad person". I tried my best not to sound too surprised.
We listened to Adam Levine's songs and sang along to it, till we had reached her destination. Turns out she's a really good singer. half way along She drove while she forced me to put my head out of the window.
"Feels good right?"
"Oh yeah". I let the cold wind run through my hair. I got my head inside with my hair all over the place. We laughed and sang till her hostel was here.
Wow. I just made a friends with a stripper
