Vallerie's POV:

Today's the day. Wala akong pasok ngayon pero si YZ meron, kaya nasa unit ko lang ako, preparing my gifts.

Kinuha ko na yung pair of sneakers na sinukat niya before. He liked it, pero binili niya yung isa pang option niya. He really liked these.

After wrapping the box of shoes, kinuha ko naman yung mga colored paper saka ginupit para maging maliliit na papel.

I'm planning to make a jar of dates. Ilalagay ko dun lahat ng mga nangyare at ilagay ang mga date (date as in petsa) tapos isulat kung anong nangyare sa araw na yun.

***Later***

I took time to admire my gifts. Hindi naman siguro 'to too much diba? 17 books by his favorite author, the pair of shoes, and a jar full of dates.

I took the jar by my right hand. May nakalagay na ribbon sa takip na glinue gun ko lang. May nakalagay din na word na "Dates" in cursive sa jar na transparent.

Feeling ko anniversary na agad. Sana naman hindi maisip ni YZ na too much 'to. Or baka kulang naman? Hala baka kulang nga yung ginawa ko. What if di matuwa si YZ sa ganto lang? Aish, tangina.

STOP OVERTHINKING, VALLERIE DE VERA!

***Later***

"Babyyyy" biglang sabi ni YZ which made me look at him and smile. "Ligo lang ako, tapos alis na tayo ahh?" Sabi niya. I nodded, still smiling.

"By the way" pahabol niyang sabi poking out his head from the bathroom. "Hmm?" I asked.

"You're a lot prettier with your smile on" he said.

Bakit ganun? This isn't the first time you said that pero kinikilig parin ako.

***Later***

Lumabas na ako ng kotse nang binuksan ni YZ ang pintuan sa side ko.

I looked arround, confused. Nasa isa kaming...funeral?

Is he planning to introduce me to his dad?

"Do you mind if we spend time with dad habang monthsary natin?" He asked.

"No, not at all" sabi ko, shaking my head while smiling. He smiled back and took my hand and squeezed it.

Naglakad kami until nakarating kami sa isang puno na may nakatapat na grave.
