Vallerie's POV:

After 3 seconds of Carrie staring at the cake, she finally took a fork and ate a piece of it.

5 seconds passed. Nothing happened. She took another bite.

"Well, looks like the pieces she ate don't contain almonds" Clinton stated. I rolled my eyes. I was already thinking of the fun that's about to happen and this, flop.

Then I noticed that Carrie turned a little...red?

Clinton and I looked at each other, smirking.

I stood up from the table completely ignoring the leftover blueberry cheesecake I had. Sayang man siya, papaunahin ko muna ang temporary kasiyahan ko.

I took my drink with my right hand at tumayo na kami ni Clinton papuntang exit. Pinahalata naming nandun kami and pretended we didn't see Carrie and he who shall not named.

"Vie?" Sabi ng isang pamilyar na boses.

Bingo. Plan's working, I guess.

I turned around and Clinton did too.

"Oh look, it's your twin brother" sabi ko kay Clinton loud enough for XYZ to hear.

"Seriously, are you following me?" He asked. Napaubo ako dahil iniinom ko yung drink ko. I looked at him like I can't understand what he's saying.

"My God, kumapal mukha mo masyado ah. Ganyan ba nangyayare kapag alagang Carrie?" sabi ko. Napatawa naman sa sinabi ko si Clinton who's just beside me.

"Then why are you here?" YZ asked. Oo nga 'no. Anong isasagot ko sakanya? Is it believable to answer namiss ko lang mag SB?

"I invited her here" Clinton answered, like it's the most obvious thing in the world.

Napatingin ako kau Carrie because of curiosity. By now, pulang-pula na siya. Biglang na-concern si XYZ when he saw Carrie.

Magsama kayong dalawa. Tangina.

"Anyway, aalis na kami. We have stuff to do much more important than seeing you here sa SB because of how bad life is" sabi ko and walked towards my car.

"Paano ba yan? Sunod nalang ako sa unit mo? May dala akong motor eh" sabi ni Clinton. Sa sobrang yaman ng pamilya niya he chose to have a motor instead of a car? Seriously?

"What? I prefer these babies than cars" he said like as if he could read my mind. I rolled my eyes and nodded.

"Bye" pagpapaalam ko at binuksan ang kotse ko saka nagdrive.

Before leaving, napatingin ako kay Carrie at YZ dahil nakaupo sila sa table na nasa bintana lang.

Parang may sakit parin sa puso ko.

Bakit ba kasi ang tanga-tanga ko para maniwalang totoo ang pagmamahal mo?
