Vallerie's POV:

"I announce Appleton College as the debate wars winner!" Sabi ng isang MC na lalaki. Nakita ko na inalay ni YZ ang kamay niya so we could shake hands.

I shook his hand and smiled, "Never thought our break up story would be useful" and then I went up to my seat, Charles and the other members of our team congratulating me.

Dumiretso ako kay Clint, I needed my cat.

***Later***

Turns out hindi lang pusa ko ang kinailangan ko. Friend din pala.

Nandito kami ni Clint sa loob ng kotse ko. Walang mga tao sa labas, and Moon is sleeping sa bag niya.

"You were tough" sabi niya.

Tough?

Puta, tough?

If I were tough I wouldn't be hurt deep inside.

I leaned my head sa shoulder niya. He patted my left arm.

"It's okay, I'm here for you. Don't worry" sabi niya.

But I'm afraid.

What if this time, it'll be fake friendship?

No, magtiwala ka, Vie.

But that's exactly what you did kay YZ.

Tandaan mo Vie, ibang-iba si YZ at Clint. Tandaan mo.

***Later***

Nandito kami sa The Old Spaghetti House nina Ryan, Triss, saka Clint. Of course, Moon too. Katabi ko sa right si Clint, nasa harap ko si Ryan, tapos katabi ni Ryan si Triss.

I stared at my order. For some odd reason, I'm not in the mood to eat at all.

"Girl, uso kumain. Ang sarap-sarap ng food eh. Kaninang umaga ka pa di kumakain" sabi ni Triss. I looked at her, confused. "How did you-"

"Duh" sabi niya. "Tangang kaibigan nalang ang di mafi-figure out na di ka kumain since breakfast"

I nodded, but still stared at my food. Clint squeezed my hand. I looked at him with a question on my face. He gestured to me to eat. I just nodded, although I had no plans on doing so.

Triss slammed her fork on the table which startled customers. She didn't care at all though.

"I swear, Vallerie de Vera, if you don't finish your food I'll make Clint feed you" she said using straight English. That's when you know galit na talaga siya.

I took my fork saka kumuha ng pasta. I swallowed it, but I really didn't like the taste. What's wrong with me?

***Later***

I stared at the ceiling, eyes heavy yet I was fully awake.

Si Moon, nasa sarili niyang higaan, sound asleep.

Buti pa siya, nakakatulog.

I needed to sleep dahil bukas ang last day of PC, and the last day would be carnival themed. Meaning maraming booths and food stands.

After 30 full minutes of staring sa ceiling, I finally fell asleep.

***The Next Day***

"Vieeeeee tara na excited na ko" sabi ni Triss habang hinihila ako papasok ng school. The second she saw me parking my car, her eyes lit up.

"Chill, Triss. Maghintay ka" I answered. Hinahatak niya na kasi ako, which I can say is very annoying.

"Yo Vie!" Tawag sakin ni Ryan after he stepped out of his car. I waved at him. Everyone seems to be in a very good mood.

"Summer is here, and there's 2 weeks left and there's no more classes. Well, there's summer class but anyway, vacation naman tayo somewhere!" Sabi ni Ryan.

These people, seriously. May summer classes nga ang iniintindi naman vacation agad.

But I gotta admit, I'm excited for summer.
