You clean up nice yourself

I'm exhausted when the weekend rolls around the corner, and we're not even finished decorating. I finally convinced Axel to get some furniture, so he — we — have a little round table now, and chairs, another smaller couch, and a coffee table. We also bought all of the kitchen appliances and stocked up on food, so we can finally eat at home, and fill up our cupboards.

I awake to the shower running and groan, snuggling back into my blankets until I hear Axel come into the living room, and stop. I roll over, and glance at him as he takes a seat at the table, which he seems to be very happy for as he grins at me.

"Good morning," he mumbles, "I didn't mean to wake you."

"I'm a light sleeper," I reply groggily.

He nods, "I know. I can go to my room to do this." He has his laptop out, and starts to close it.

I shake my head, "nah, I'm up. I'm just going to lay here for a bit. What are you doing?"

"Enrolling in second term classes. It'll take a couple seconds," he tells me, opening his laptop back up, "you transferred, right?"

I nod. "I'm coming to Washington. Seattle university seems really prestigious."

Axel chuckles. "I went there, remember?"

"Didn't you transfer right away?"

He nods, laughing.

I sit up, "do you want to make coffee?"

"I do later," he says, and closes his laptop, "but I'm taking Luci out first. Is that okay? You can come," he says, and smiles a little, seeing how tired I still am, how I'm bundled up in the new blankets that I got, and adds, "you know, if you want."

I smile sheepishly. "I think I'm going to start putting up decorations."

Axel nods. "I'll come back and help," he says, "oh, and I'll make breakfast before we get to work."

"Oh, will you?" I tease, gazing at him in his sweats and activewear long sleeve top, which shapes his sculpted arm and back muscles perfectly, hiding the tattoos underneath.

"I will," he tells me, not seeing me checking him out as he opens Luci's kennel. The pup jumps for joy, and into Axel's arms, and the two come over to me, taking a seat. They've bonded a lot since I've been here, and I think Axel and I have bonded a little more too because of Luci. It's almost as if we're sharing a child.

"Good morning, beautiful," I giggle as Luci licks me face, and I scrunch my nose.

"Wanna go for a walk, boy?" Axel asks, and Luci freaks out, scurrying over to the door.
