It was the middle of the day as Silence arrived in Rubqs City a few miles away from Gingdale in the military truck. Silence was wearing his black face mask as usual but it was painted with red gashes on it from the blood of those attempting to claw away from him. He was wearing a black shirt and a pair of black cargo pants that were stitched together from tears that occurred in the field. He was wearing black steel-toed boots and black gloves both worn to the point where duct tape was needed to hold them together. He had on a black bullet-proof vest stitched together where bullets ripped into it with a large collar on it reaching up to his head and protecting his neck and the FAR tag on the right side of the vest with a pair of black elbow pads and knee pads as well with scratches wearing away at the paint and metal. He had his black leg holster with Kingslayer in it which was the only thing not damaged. On his tattered belt was a sheath holding his titanium sword and a few Wall Breachers on the other side of the belt from the sheath.

In his hands was a modified Spazz-12 shotgun. His shotgun had a suppressor, laser aiming module, red dot sight, shoulder sling, extended internal tube, extended stock, a shell rack attached to the left side of the gun, and a number of scratch marks on the other side of the weapon opposite of the rack.

"Alright, spread out, keep your sectors watched, and stay together. No need to start losing people to something in the rubble," said Silence as he jumped out of the truck.

"Yes sir," said one of the FAR soldiers. "So, Silence, should we start calling you Scarecrow?"

"Nah," said Silence as he tightened the tape on his gloves. "Just fixing my old gear until you guys get some better stuff."

"Hey, whatever works," said another solider. The city was in ruins, where buildings were collapsed on each other. The roads were cracked and torn from the force and the buildings were painted black from the dust and garbage from the city.

"Damn, gonna be a bitch to fix. Why was Gingdale untouched yet this place is fucked?" Asked one soldier.

"Untouched isn't the word I'd use for some of the stuff," said Silence as he kicked away a brick.

"Well, compared to this..."

"Good point... I don't know what it was and frankly we should."

"Plus, why some of us got powers and some didn't."

"Good point. Let's just focus on searching each sector. You all know which one you got, stick together, blah blah blah, radio for help if needed, and meet back here after you clear your area."

"Yes sir." The soldiers broke off into squads of five and headed into each part of the city. Silence was with one of the groups, exploring the area around the college. The college spanned a few blocks and the restaurants a few blocks after that. The buildings stood tall with modern Gothic architecture and destroyed glass windows everywhere with the buildings being torn in half from the blast. The sidewalks were littered with bags of all kinds and a few skeletons of dead Sinderlos.

"Alright, take each building one by one and keep close," said Silence.

"Yes sir," said a soldier. The group searched each building slowly, covering each room one by one, floor by floor, examining every for supplies or anything living. "Well, so far nothing," said Silence as the group approached the Medical and Humanities building.

The building was mostly a square shaped building with large brick walls covered black from the dust and destruction. The windows from the building were blown out as it faced a large courtyard where many bags were still left behind. The doors were blown open and the interior was ruined. Furniture was torn from debris flying through the air, the white tiled floors and brick walls were painted black by the dust. The elevator doors were torn into the shaft from the force of the blast and the doors in the back of the building were torn away as well. The stairwell to the immediate left was covered in minor rubble while the banister from the balcony of the second floor had fallen down onto the main floor.
