Ambush

The Helix Divison headed up to the top floor, covering the stairs as they went up. "Here, they want to shoot us, let's shoot back," said Schloss as she put the gel on everyone. Valor set up an RDAP at the top of the stairs as Mirazh created a clone at the top and Spire created a force field.

"Thanks, bulky ass armor. I should've known better. C'mon, we need to stick together," said Silence as he lead the group down the hallway.

"Covering, Seeker how long do we have?" Asked Valor as he kept his rifle pointed down the hallway.

"Not much," said Seeker as he pulled Valor into a side room.

"Silence, please tell me you have a plan," said RX as he peered out from a doorway on the other side, aiming his carbine at the stairs.

"Working on one," said Silence as he pulled out Kingslayer. "Kingslayer, I need you to get us out of here." Silence's paw shook left to right in a 'no' fashion.

"Fuck, demon gun is giving us the middle finger," said Silence as he holstered Kingslayer. He looked out into the hallway with his SMG. He saw an explosion go off, destroying the force field and then a cloud of smoke come from the clone

"CONTACT!" Called out RX as he fired down the hallway towards the police.

"Valor hold that doorway, Seeker get into the room with RX and cover the hallway on that side. Schloss, Mirazh cover the back way if they're planning on doing coming up a back stairway. RX keep your head down and patch up anyone that gets hurt. Spire, you're with me. I have an idea on how to get out of here," said Silence.

"You damn well better," said Seeker as he slid past the hallway, avoiding the gunfire coming towards them. Mirazh rushed to the other side of the hallway, covering the back way with Schloss on the other side.

"Schloss," said Mirazh.

"Ja," said Schloss.

"Welcome to the team. Introduction by fire."

"As long as we live, I'll be happy." Berserk came up around the corner of the stairs, feeling the bullets hit his shield.

"Shield goat coming towards us," said Valor as he fired at them.

"Here, cover me," said Spire as she came up to him. She created a force field in front of Berserk and the others, trying to block them.

"They're trying to stop us," said Ashes as he stayed behind Berserk.

"I know... Bullets coming in, metal hitting the shield, and people counting on me... Just like the good old days," said Berserk with a smile.

"Yeah, just wish that we wanted to get them," said Ashes.

"They beat you once, just return the favor to them," said Berserk.

"That I can agree with," said Ashes as he fired over Berserk's shoulder.

"Fucker," said Valor as he felt the impact from Ashes's rifle into his chest. The bullets had impacted onto the gel from Schloss and cracked it.

"Just keep the fire going," said Seeker as he shot around the corner.

"Mirazh, fire down range. I'll alert you if we get shot here," said Schloss as she watched the back.

"Da, on it," said Mirazh as she turned around, shooting down the corridor.

"C'mon, c'mon," said Silence as he tied two broken parts of a broom handle to a plunger's handle. He tied a rope around the end and pulled it tight.
