Misfortune: Theon

Theon, Char, and Rex teleported back to the hospital to find the others were looking out of the windows at the gathering mass of reporters and news vans down below.

"Fuck," said Venic.

"Yeah, we heard," said Theon.

"Right... What should we do?" Asked Roxy. "I mean... It's the press but we can't just walk out, there right?"

"Um... Guys..." said Rex.

"Rex, what's up?" Asked Char.

"Well, look, I'm just saying the best way out of this is to give 'em what they want," said Rex. "I know I'm the new guy, and nobody's going to believe me when I say I can manipulate and see changes in time and all that but... I'm serious is what I'm trying to say."

"You mean we should let 'em in and answer any questions that they have?" Asked Venic.

"That doesn't sound like a good idea," said Zeillian.

"Well, they want information, right? And it's not like we can run and hide anywhere anymore," said Schrodinger.

"Except the F.A.R." said Schrodinger's left head.

"You guys seriously thinking about making a run out to there?" Asked Carterdion.

"Erm..." said Theon, trying to find the right words.

"Yes, they're going to try to get out to there. Their transport locations are safe, their soldiers are friendly and well disciplined, and I'm sure we can talk to their other heroes and try to work something out," said Rex.

"Are you sure about that or just guessing?" Asked Char.

"A bit of both," said Rex.

"Well... should we?" Asked Divine. "I-I know I'm not that good with public speaking but..."

"Relax, we'll be fine," said Silval as she flipped through her phone. "Well, guess I should brush up on my Q and A."

"Just give me a few," said Carterdion as he pulled out his flask and drank rapidly.

"Give me taste when done," said Zeillian.

"Yeah, yeah. Here," said Carterdion as he handed the flask to him. Zeillian took a drink and instantly spat it back out.

"ARGH, BYLAT!" Yelled out Zeillian as he spat out the liquid. "IT SHIT!"

"Well fuck you for having no taste," said Carterdion as he grabbed it back from him.

"This is going to be horrible. Spire, we need a force field," said Theon.

"She was Silence's team," said Char.

"Oh... right... Um..." said Theon. "Damn it they had some good people."

"And they probably hate us now," said Venic.

"Yeah, sure..." said Aerlo as he played on his phone. "I'm going to go and take care of some stuff. See ya'."

"Wow, you give me shit for abandoning you all the time and now you're just going to leave me here hun?" Asked Venic.

"Look, they care about you guys more than me. Plus, with enemies out there you need at least one person out of the spot light," said Aerlo as he walked up to Venic. "Besides, you're the hero. Not me." He kissed him and then pulled back.
